I purchased this tool for a couple of reasons. I frankly just got tired of my old spool fed trimmer. The line always came out to fast, it too problematic and time consuming to always stop and fix. The alternative was that the line cut my legs. The other thing was that I not only needed a trimmer but an edger and brush cutter. This trimmer not only makes it so it's less hassle to use and no need to be tethered to an extension cord but the trimmer line is supposed to be much easier to reload. I purchased this not only for the trimmer but the edger and brush cutter. For a battery powered unit because it's 40 volt it not only has the power to trim, but to brush cut, and more importantly edge which in the dirt is probably it's toughest task. I've only used it once but the first and only use the trimmer works much better than my older unit. I'll have to wait until later to see how easy the line reloads but from everything I have seen it should work be extremely easy. The brush cutter and edger were fantastic as well. The biggest negative are the lack of instructions that come with the machine and the attachments. The good thing is that third party reviewers can be found on YouTube although you have to search a bit to find the assembly details you will need. They could stand to write the instructions a whole lot better especially since some assembly is required. The worst being the brush cutter as this tool although fairly simple the order for which you install the little bits matter. Actually Worx would really do well to make some YouTube Videos themselves and link them on their product page as after all these are WORX tools and based on numerous reviews this would pay off greatly. I shouldn't have to mine YouTube for them. I would easily rate this tool so far at a plus 5 stars if it weren't for complete lack of good instructions provided with tools that because the way they are packed require the user to assemble them not to mention complete lack of instruction on how to reload their easy to load spool line. Yes it can be found on YouTube but this also has to be found before you can use it. Not only that but it wouldn't hurt to publish your customer support number a bit better on your website. Even though it's on the box, people often will look to the website I don't understand why you have to make it so hard to find on the website. Parts were missing for my trimmer and this was just one more frustration I didn't need. I'm still kicking myself for not seeing it on the box but frankly it makes no sense that their website doesn't include an easy link to a contact number under customer support.

The weed trimmer works like a champ, the bump to release line feature works really nice. The only negative was the directions on how to thread new line. I tried to load the line following the directions for an hour, failed and angry. Once a friend figured it out for me, it is really slick and so easy, but it took him 45 minutes to understand how to load the line. Basically do NOT remove the head, line up the openings so you can see through, push in the line so there are equal amount on both sides, twist the head as the arrows direct you and both the top and bottom get wound into the proper places, trim lines so they are the same length and your done. Takes less than a minute, you never have to take the spool off, just thread new 7.5’ of line as needed. Really a nice design, improve the directions!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is as powerful as a gas trimmer and is versatile with the attachments. The only problem is the battery life. The batteries on full charge will not get my yard completely trimmed. I purchased the blower with 2 more batteries and charger and still cannot get my yard done with 4 fully charged batteries. Love the tool, not the batteries!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trimmer works as expected. Battery life is a little shorter than I prefer, but I have 2 additional batteries because I also have a WORX chainsaw. Handles all of the attachments from my previous gas powered trimmer.

I could be very happy with this product if I could figure out how to get the string rewound. I let it get to short and know it is in the spool and I can't get it back thru access holes. A good set of directions or a video would be nice. I figure if I take the head off completely it will unwind all the string. I have used your string trimmers before and love them but this one has me stumped.

I have a Worx wall in my garage which has most of my WORX tools. I have one of your string trimmers that works great. When the driveshare multi attachment tool was offered I grabbed it. First time I used it the string head came off. I am very dissapointed with this tool . I have the pole saw and brush cutter attachments but may not use these. Can someone let me know how a tool that is new have a string head come off when it is first used
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
