Its amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago, along with the hedge trimmer. I really got it for the hedge trimmer. This unit is so strong, that it cuts branches up to 3/4 of inch thick. It might even cut thicker ones, but 3/4 of inch were the thick's ones on my hedges. I am so glad I purchased this unit, makes trimming hedges so easy

Powerful trimmer!

I just tried out my new trimmer and it worked as well as my old gas-powered unit. It easily has the power to cut the tall grass and weeds around my farm. I cut a lot of territory and the only issue I had was that the batteries didn't last for a terrifically long time, maybe 45 minutes. To complete my cutting I had to switch out the batteries twice, but to be fair I would have had to refuel at least once on my old trimmer. Be aware that the 4Ah batteries do take almost two hours to recharge, so have a set ready when you need to swap out. Additionally the shoulder strap could be slightly longer for my comfort. I'm 6'2" and I have it extended as far as it will go and it is slightly short requiring that I bend a bit to cut.

40V POWER SHARE Cordless trimmer w hedge trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Getting older and after back surgery I wanted a lighter weed wacker rather than the old Stihl. Truthfuly, it doesn't feel much lighter but it will do the job. The string block is a little higher off the ground than I like so trimming requires tilting the head. Especially down the driveway and when edging sidewalks. I don't want to wear the head out on the concrete. I haven't tried restringing it yet so I have no comment on that. The extended hedge trimmer attachment is excellent for cutting back over growth around the perimeter of the property as well as shrub trimming. I like this tool. Switching between the attachments can be a little difficult ie: releasing the locking button, but I'll probably get used to it as I use it more.

It's a Beast!

While I just recently bought it, haven't had a chance to explore all the options, but it is every bit as powerful as the gas trimmers I've owned. I never feel "cheated" using it. I really like the versatility of the attachments and one reason in particular, is that it affords me the opportunity to trim and limb some trees on my property without calling a pro for every need. Also, with it's universality and interchangeability, it can power the attachments of other manufacturers (which would be of value to those owning competitors models which no longer run).

This thing is a beast

At 6'6" I strongly recommend using some sort of strap, connection point already installed. Running this beast at full throttle will drain those batteries in about 15 minutes, and in those 15 minutes you will decimate. The tool is solid and comfortable, after trimming up my yard I never once felt like it was bending or buckling and the trigger felt firm. Mine also came with about 20 ft. of line pre-spooled (that I suggest you re-spool yourself)
