This coffee maker brews SOMETIMES.

I fell in love with Nespresso coffee about 3 years ago. In fact, I own two Vertuo machines, one for each of my residencies. The machine is more attractive than all other coffeemakers. But whoever wrote the machine program is a dig-bat. It is NOT user friendly. It has one button on the top which has some 85 different blink series codes that the customer will have to memorize. While the machine has to think through which code to use to ruin your morning and insult your intelligence with, it's up to you to hold your temper so that whatever condescending twerp wrote its confusing code and designed its machine can laugh all the to the bank. It should have separate buttons to tell us what it needs and other buttons to make it easy to fix. This is not computer class 101—its coffee. I have a 25 year old Keurig that works fine. If Nespresso ever condescends to make the customers' lives easier (and not the dig-bats lives that designed the machine and wrote the code) then I'll return for their coffee, but right now it's not worth it. After three years I give up. It's really a shame. It's hard to deal with snobs. There are plenty of other coffees out there, gotta be one as good as Nespresso that won't ruin my mornings. (Too bad the CEO will never hear this. Everyone I know who has one feels the same. Sales would skyrocket if they would only listen.)

Don’t buy

Terrible. I’ve purchased several Nepresso machines and this is by far the worst. The first one was traded back in under warranty because it malfunctioned. The current one is just over a year old. Every morning I’m struggling with the lid. It’s just insane!

Have to buy new machine to use Alto capsules :/

I haven’t tried the Vertuo Next machine but I have been waiting about two years for the Vertuo Alto capsule size to return. Now that it finally has, it doesn’t work with my Vertuo Plus machine!
If I want to use alto capsules I have to purchase another machine. This feels like bad customer appreciation!
Seriously considering ending my longtime relationship with Nespresso.

Our Alto, Pour Over Style, and Cold Brew blends, were created to brew in the Vertuo Next, Vertuo Pop+, and Vertuo Creatista machine. You may brew an Intenso capsule in the same cup twice, as an alternative to the discontinued Alto Intenso, in addition to brewing Melozio twice as an alternative to the discontinued Alto Dolce. We trust you will find this information useful, to enjoy the previously offered 14 oz. cup of coffee.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

WORST COFFEE MACHINE ON THE MARKET! Do not waste your time and money buying this machine. I bought my first one two years ago for my birthday. Within 6 months of that first machine, it began to leak. I called Nespresso to get it replaced because I thought it was a fluke. NOPE!!! I have now had 3 machines within the past two years due to leaking all over my counter. I wish I could get my money back.

THE WORST TRASH EVER

After 4 months, the machine was just brewing a random amount regardless of the barcode information of the pod or it just didn't brew at all. Plus, random color LED indication (yellow, pink, grey, white, purple.....) with random intensities. After struggling for a month with this garbage, I was about to throw it away but for somewhat reason, it suddenly came back to normal, so I kept using it. After another 6 months, this machine is totally crazy right now. When I plug it, it only shows yellow, weak red, or off-LED with repetitive 3 consecutive short vibrations. Who designed this machine to have only a single button for all the operations?? If you cannot make it work, at least place the reset button somewhere in the machine. This machine is ruining my life and is total garbage. Don't buy it.

Use to be a keurig user..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a few good weeks and with all the varieties and the simplicity...this has been my best investment this year. I take the difference in espresso vs coffee no lingering flavors from old pods. The pods are desposed into a bin it makes for such a simple clean up and recycling option. I will no longer be a keurig user this is the only coffee/espresso machine for me !
I would recommend this to a friend!
