I've supported OhSnap since the Kickstarter days, always upgrading to the latest version. I have the desk power kit, wall mounts throughout my house, and of course the car mount in my car. I was eager to try the new grip stand, except I'm finding that the magnet isn't strong enough to keep my phone secured to the mounts. I've had my phone go crashing down in multiple locations, and it's especially risky when using map guidance and the phone falls into the passenger foot well.I will likely go back to my old OhSnap grip for now. The grip stand just isn't reliable when using it with any of the mounts I already have.
I used to rock with pop sockets back in the day but they weren’t the best quality and weren’t thin, but they were great. Having the ohsnap has made my quality of life so much better with just better stability holding my phone and being able to prop it up with the kickstand. The quality is really high and thinness makes it so easy to lay flat or out in my pocket. A must have for everyone.
I love the versatility of it, I can lock it in place and use the small circle as a stand, use the big stand and use it as a vertical or horizontal stand or use it to hold my finger. throw in the fact it's magnetic and it is worth the price!
love the stand, but I’m disappointed by the weaker magnets. They’re so weak that my phone falls off my car mount with even small bumps, whereas with version 4, I couldn’t get the phone to fall off. What happened to pass-through charging, and why was that feature removed? If you brought back the stronger magnets from version 4 and pass-through charging, it would be unbeatable. I’m going back to version 4.
It's fine. Not worth the high price. Would prefer it be magsafe compatible (be able to utilize magsafe stands and chargers while the grip is "installed") and for you to be able to rotate the stand without removing it completely. Wouldn't recommend or buy again.
