Too Heavy For Car Mount and Wall Mounts

I've supported OhSnap since the Kickstarter days, always upgrading to the latest version. I have the desk power kit, wall mounts throughout my house, and of course the car mount in my car. I was eager to try the new grip stand, except I'm finding that the magnet isn't strong enough to keep my phone secured to the mounts. I've had my phone go crashing down in multiple locations, and it's especially risky when using map guidance and the phone falls into the passenger foot well.I will likely go back to my old OhSnap grip for now. The grip stand just isn't reliable when using it with any of the mounts I already have.

Ring loose in the closed position

The stand is very functional. However, it rattles when it's in the closed position. There is no hinge friction to hold the ring secure in the closed position. In every other position, the stand is solid and finely crafted.

Even better!

Love the newest Snap Grip Stand. Gave my former one to my hubby and he is not liking the option of having a grip (he never used them before). My only regret is I purchased it in the first order before release and there was only BLACK and now I see there is BLUE, my preferred color to match my phone and case. Oh well, the stand is so useful to hold your phone up in vertical or horizontal positions instead of tryin to prop it up somewhere. Really great improvement to an already great product!

Loved the original grip and always wanted a stand as well. This is perfect. Also able to support my Pixel 10 Pro Fold and all its weight. Amazing!

Broke on day 2

I ordered two of these grip stands. The silver one broke on the second day of using it. The stand won’t close and sit flush anymore. It just flops open about an 1/8 of an inch from the back of the phone.

Not what I expected....

I’ve used the OhSnap 4Luxe as the best phone accessory in large part because I could wirelessly charge my phone without having to remove it. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case with the Snap Gripe Stand. It looked great on my phone & case, but not as useful as the previous OhSnap products that I’ve always loved.

Heavy

This thing is heavy, it does stand up the iPhone well. When sticking to a metal object it just slides on down. The magnet is not strong. I’ve been using the same vent mount for years and now the phone falls with every bump in the road. My knee hurts!

Very useful tool

I really like this Snap Grip Stand (SGS). The magnets are strong enough to hold firm to my iPhone 16 through a magsafe case and the 'stand' aspect is better than I expected. It rotates easily to whatever position you want (except near the camera lense) and it will sit at any angle for the best viewing experience of the screen. My only gripe is that it doesn't always want to connect to a wireless charger and it can get very hot when connected. For example, the wireless charger in my rental car last week couldn't charge the phone through the SGS. However, because it's connected magnetically, instead of with adhesive, it was easy enough to remove to charge in the car. Well done guys!
