I actually have a Torras Case that does this exact thing that the ring thing is on this oh snap. But I always want to just put the oh snap right on the naked phone because I think the phone is so gorgeous. I am definitely going to be ordering one of these on my very next paycheck! This looks perfect!

I think this is a great direction for oh snap in general. The biggest flaw for a while now has been the kickstand which this clearly solves. However, I am "upgrading from a snap 4 luxe and I can't help but feel like it's better in some ways and worse in others. I'm of the mindset that I did not care that it was permanent before. It felt secure and reliable. Now though, the magsafe connection in my case is not strong enough to keep the grip attached on its own. Sticking it to metal takes the grip off the case. So I added the magsafe for Android phones attachment. Now it is so securely stuck onto the back of my phone that it does not want to rotate for the stand like the advertisement. Adding the magnet also made it even more considerably thick than it already was from the snap 4. Probably the biggest problem I have seen is whatever changed with the magnets in the grip that connect it to magsafe accessories. In the snap 4 they were crazy strong which gave me so much confidence. Now it won't stick to my magsafe car mount that worked fine for years. I bought the new stick anywhere mount from oh snap and this is slightly better but still not that secure over normal magsafe accessories. I can't help but feel like this change was intended to force me to only use oh snap accessories not actually magsafe. That's pretty shady if you ask me. The magnets weren't broken before. Why did they have to change? I'm not an engineer and don't have insights into why changes were made. The oh snap 5 grip is the same way. In my opinion the 4 luxe is the best product oh snap has ever made. The grip stand is a promising new direction but it needs to go back to the drawing board and iron out some issues before it's worth $50. I hope the feedback is constructive and well received. I've had a lot of oh snap products over the years and many have been good and some not so good. I've had this for a day and I'm not totally giving up on it but it isn't perfect. I know oh snap can and will improve this design in the future.

Works, but not great for Andriod

I loved my OhSnap 1-4 which is why I continue to buy their next iteration every time. I believe in what this company does. So I purchased their new OhSnap Grip Stand. And while the stand is great, and the grip is the same comfort as the Snap 4/5, their are some trade offs getting this grip for an android phone, and those obvious one is that they don't cater to andriod phones anymore since they made the 5. Yes they included a metal ring to allow it to sit on the back of the phone without using magsafe, but due to the rubber like material that goes over the magnets on the back of the grip, it's super hard to turn the grip 90° to use the stand the other direction while on the metal ring. So much so that it's ripping the rubber material on the magnets, and I haven't had it on my phone for more then 30 minutes.In their video they had it on the back of an iPhone and it turned super easily, unfortunately I'm not getting that same experience using it on my Samsung phone. I have a feeling they went with the rubber material on the back to make it grip the back of the iPhone better, but it's doing the opposite for an Android phone, it grips too much.Maybe make it where you have the option for the user to add the rubber ring on the back of the magnets for iPhone/ magsafe users, or a smooth plastic ring on the magnets for Samsung phones.

I have a Pixel Fold 10. It's a heavy phone. I have a Snap Grip 4, and it has wonderfully strong magnets that will hold it anywhere, which is absolutely vital for car use.This Snap Grip Stand uses some rearrangement of the magnets which means it is completely and totally unusable for me. On any mount, it will drop off with the slightest tap.Stay away if you like your phone to be secure.

Android Phones Cannot Use Landscape Mode

This advertised a slick way for me to use this grip for viewing in both portrait and landscape and made the point to mention that it is very compatible with Android phones despite having specific designs for iPhones. However, the install kit for Android phones comes with an adhesive ring that fixes the grip stand into one position permanently. The ability to rotate from vertical viewing to horizontal is only possible with Apple because it is attached to the phone only using an easily removable magnet. This is blatant misrepresentation in advertising. I'll be asking for a refund.

Almost perfect

This thing is mostly amazing. Issue: opening the stand portion is a real struggle, unless you have nails or small hands. There needed to be a lip or something to grab it. Once you get it though. Impeccable.
