Weaker magnet

I love the kickstand concept, it works super well and supports my iPhone 16 pro max with ease. I was really excited for it, however the magnets seem substantially weaker than previous versions. The magnets barely support my phone on objects the snap 3 would hold with no issues. It slides and falls much easier now. It gets three stars simply for the durability of the kickstand. It doesn’t rotate as easily as I had expected but it works well. The magnets this time around are significantly weaker which is highly unfortunate as they are the main reason I purchase the Ohsnap.

Stand is nice, but magnet is very weak

Buyers be warned. The stand feature is very nice and was a welcome improvement over the standard snap grip that I used before. The issue is the magnet strength. Compared to the standard snap grip, the magnet strength is super low. The phone flew off the standard magsafe phone magnetic car holder and fell on the floor of my car. Super dangerous. It is the same magnetic car holder that I have to use both hands to separate the phone from when using a standard snap grip. Nowhere in the product description it says that the magnet strength is not the same as the standard snap grip. Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs some improvements

The free-spinning mechanism is a bit too loose and could use more resistance. When holding the phone, it tends to fall to the side too easily unless you’re bracing it with your hand. Also, the stand is very difficult to extend it would benefit from a small notch at the top to give your finger better grip and make opening easier. Aside from those issues, it’s a pretty solid product.

Only slightly disappointed

I’ve had 3 versions of the ohsnap grip and was so excited to try the next generation. I even gave my v4 to my husband. However, when I cook I normally stick my phone to the microwave or the fridge and found that the magnet on the v5 to be hugely lacking to the point that I have to use the stand and sit it on the counter... which I don’t like to do. Other than that, it’s great and I swap it to stand up my kindle when I read at night with my remote page turner and that’s why it’s got 4 stars.

Love everything about it except magnetism

My previous oh snap really snapped onto my mag safe mounts and chargers. This doesn't seem to provide the same level of secure feel as I have had it rotate on a mag safe window mount when I hit a bump. Bring the same magnetism to this as you had on your regular and I'll buy 3 of them so I am never without.

When they first released I bought 4 for the family. Everyone said they are like the rest, they will fail and also said they were too expensive. Whatever. I take pride in my investments like my smartphones and other devices I use daily. Bet your butt I even have an OhSnap grip on my gps in the car. I have and continue to enjoy the majority of their products. The phone grips the wallet (cf) the car mounts and now the grip stand. It just made my phone better and usable in more ways. Keep on keepin on!

Snap stand grip is worth it

If ur debating weather to get the normal one or this one get this one, had the normal one for a year couldn’t go back to not having one, now this one came out it looks better feels better and the magnet is better it’s not too strong like the old one it’s just the right strength
