Great phone hold helper and stand

I’ve never see “phone rings” for years and love them ... until MagSafe happened. Every ring I’ve tried since then has been a problem. Either it would easily come detached or it wouldn’t work as a stand (or both). I’ve had my OhSnap stand for a week or so now, and it has never detached from my phone unless I specifically removed it. I really like the multiple ways to use the ring, and the stand is the best! My only concern is that the plastic expander to create the finger hold might give out. Time will tell.
This grip/stand is well built. Slim. The magnet is so strong. I have an otterbox case on my iPhone and the adhesive adaptor intended for android phones works perfectly.
I had the regular/original snap grip for a year, and it was great. When I saw that Ohsnap made one with a stand (specifically that the stand let your phone stand up vertically, not just horizontally) I was very excited as that was the only thing I'd felt the grip was missing. I got the new stand grip a few months ago, and honestly, I'm pretty disappointed. I think I might just go back to the original snap grip. First, with this new stand grip, I had to get an entirely new phone case, as the stand grip wouldn't connect fully with my other phone case (even though it was a very slim/low-profile case?) That was pretty annoying, as I wasn't even sure what exactly it was about my old case that made it incompatible and so wasn't sure what to look for in a new one. Once I finally got a case that worked with the new grip, I could start using the stand grip. I know that Ohsnap is advertising the fact that the stand grip doesn't have any actual adhesive on it, as it connects to your phone through magnets only, and that's supposed to be a good thing, but honestly it is SO annoying. It comes off WAY too easily. I mean, if I'm holding my phone using the stand grip, and I go to push the off button on the side of my phone, more often than not that small amount of pressure is enough to completely push my phone off the grip and my phone falls on the ground. The amount of times I've dropped my phone because of this stand grip is absurd. Exponentially more times than I've ever dropped my phone in my whole life. (Also, who is taking the grip on and off that often? In the year I used the original grip I never needed to take it off. What was the point of getting rid of the adhesive?)When I bought the original snap grip, I also purchased the Ohsnap stand mount for a desk/table top. It worked great, until I got the new stand grip. With the original snap grip, my phone would easily, almost instantly connect to the desk stand and it was very secure. With the new stand grip on my phone, I have to move my phone around on the connection surface of the desk stand until it finally gets in *just* the right spot to connect, and even then, it's not secure at all. A tiny bump with my hand sends my phone clattering off the stand. Genuinely so annoying. And forget trying to move your phone around to different angles when it's connected to the desk stand (which is like, one of the major selling points of the desk stand..). With the original snap grip, it was so easy, you could just move your phone to any angle without your phone disconnecting from the stand. Now, with the stand grip on the back of my phone, I have to use two hands to hold my phone against the desk stand so it doesn't fall off, and then move the actual connection piece/surface on the desk stand itself. Yeah, I get that the stand grip has a built in stand, but sometimes when I'm at work it's easier to just snap it onto the desk stand (or at least, it WAS easier...) rather than turn it over and pry the stand piece of the grip up. Also, if you're trying to charge your phone with a regular cord, can't use the stand grip stand. Even with using a third party mag safe charger stand, it is SO difficult to get the stand grip to connect in *just* the right spot so that your phone is securely attached.Overall, pretty disappointed in this new grip. The original one was so good. This new one is....lacking. Pretty much a downgrade in every way, except for the stand part. But I don't even use the stand that often, it was more like "oh that would be so convenient sometimes, I'll try it" but yeah I think I'm just gonna go back to using the original snap grip (and the case that I actually like).
I had the previous version of the SnapGrip and loved it. It worked great on my Pixel 10 XL Pro. I just swapped out to this new one about a week ago and love the stand improvement! I also love how easily it can just swap to be a landscape mode stand. One thing I noticed is that the magnetic strength is not as strong on this model as the previous one that I had, but I still would highly recommend this to anyone!
I’ve never bought a grip because they always looked like they’d be in the way when you stow in a pocket. And I didn’t like the thought of glueing something on to my phone or case. This one is so functional, I love it. Thanks for a great product. Glad I waited for mine.
The snapgrip is an excellent product thanks to its unique combination of being both light and strong.
