Cool idea but not great

I'll start with the stand works as intended. It's sturdy and can hold the phone (mine is s23 ultra) at any position. The bad, the magnet isn't even close to being strong. I had the gen2 version of the ohsnap grip and it would attach to the ohsnap desk stand just from throwing it across the room and you'd have to pry it off. This new stand/ grip barely holds on. It took me a good 30 seconds of fumbling it around on the stand magnet just to get it to grab and it's easily knocked off. The magnet also isn't strong emg to hold it if you used to stick it on the side of anything metal, which I used to do. Now the phone will just slide down whatever it is you've tried to attach it to. Secondly it doesn't allow charge through. I assume they thought if you used charge through them you couldn't use the grip anyway so they just got rid of that option so now you'd have to remove the grip to use charge through leaving you with the grip just sitting around or in your pocket while you're using magnetic charge. Lastly, there's no adhesive for the grip. I understand that's probably so you can turn the stand around and position it but it also makes it fall off your phone easily. The stand itself it so tight that sometimes when trying to pull it out or fold it back it will just pop the grip off the back of the phone. If I could return it, I would. I'm not going to be using this product for these reasons and go back to my gen2 grip.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve pretty much used their whole catalog of grips and I’m just disappointed the magnets on the new ones are just not that good compared to the old ones.

Interesting stand

I like the idea of it i like how you can make your phone stand without having other devices around and you can use it anywhere. The only thing that for mine is not that hreat is the magnet whihh ch on the simple one was sooooo strong i could put it anywhere with no worries, for this one i have to be careful where im using it because doesn’t really stick that well everywhere. It could only mine that is like this and im the unlucky one i hope for the sake of the others because i really like their products

Very weak magnet

I’ve been an OG ohsnap-per, using their product back when they were crowdfunding on kickstarter. Such a dope concept! I purchased their Snap Grip 5 and the matching Snap Case - 17 Series back in October of 2025. That snap magnet (snap grip 5) has by-far been the best magnet, as far as potency goes. It sticks hard and doesn’t come off easily. The only thing that specific grip/case combo was missing was a kickstand. So when I saw they released the Snap Grip Stand, I knew it would be my next purchase. I received it a few days ago and love the look and functionality of the kickstand. The matching phone case is different material than my previous snap case - 17 series, which is interesting. The previous material, although grippier, began peeling off in just 5 months. I’m assuming that’s why they updated it.Overall, my reasons for giving this new stand 2 stars is due to the super weak magnet. It is FAR LESS potent than the grip 5, which honestly makes no sense. They look identical. What once gripped well to stainless steel and other surfaces, now slides down until it falls off. Or, if you find a decent magnetic spot, the slightest bump immediately breaks the seal and the phone falls. So that’s pretty disappointing. And the major issue with the new matching case, although the glossier material is unlikely to peel off, is that it’s INCREDIBLY slippery with no side grips. So the glossier case + a less potent magnet = a true recipe for disaster. I was really wanting to love this new set. Maybe they’ll improve the magnet strength with new releases, and hopefully improve the new case material with some grip pads. The color was also very different than anticipated - looks purple online but is actually a blue tone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the OhSnap because of its magnetic properties like holding your phone on a metal door or cabinet. Also it creates a super strong attachment to a wireless charger.

I absolutely love it!!! The only thing I wish was different is I wish it was a strong enough magnet to stay n with a phone case that doesn’t have the magnet in it! I just bought a new USA one without magnet and can’t use my new case! BUT I prefer using the grip!!
