Super impressive upgrade from LG!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love our new LG 98-inch NU85 TV! The color and clarity are incredible, and the large screen is perfect for the size of our room. We sit approximately 15 feet away, and the viewing experience feels immersive without being overwhelming. The built-in sound is also surprisingly impressive, with plenty of volume and a great range and depth, even without a soundbar which we will probably not add as its not needed IMHO. This replaced our five-year-old TV, and it’s amazing to see just how far the technology has come in that time in terms of picture quality, available app content, etc. We couldn’t be happier with the upgrade and love our new LG!

The setup process was easier than setting up a phone. From my usual seat, the picture looks like a front row seat to a boxing match with the size color and sound. Using the remote and navigating the settings has been very simple , and the built-in sound is an absolute plus.
The thing that stands out most to me is definitely the size, because the picture quality but still slim. Something I would want another shopper to know before buying is although it is 98” it’s fits nicely. Overall, I would recommend this TV for men who love games and families who love watching movies.

Massive Screen, Amazing Picture and Sound

The screen is obviously the first thing you notice because it’s massive, but I was also really impressed by how thin the TV is. The built in handles are a small detail, but they made moving and positioning a TV this big much easier.
The colors look amazing, and the picture feels really immersive on such a large screen. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Another feature I’ve enjoyed is the AI technology that helps optimize the picture and sound depending on what I’m watching. It makes the overall experience feel more tailored without me having to constantly adjust settings.
Overall, it’s a great fit if you have the space and want a true big screen experience at home.

The Ultimate TV Upgrade

Terrible Picture Quality in Dark Rooms

I’m very disappointed with the picture quality, especially in a dark room. Dark scenes look horrible with uneven backlighting, bright spots, blooming, and poor black uniformity. Adjusting the picture settings doesn’t fix it. On top of that, it doesn’t even include LG’s Magic Remote—you have to purchase one separately if you want it. It also lacks Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, which is extremely disappointing for a 98-inch TV at this price. Between the poor dark-room performance and missing premium features, I would not recommend this TV for movies or home theater use.

Affordable and high quality!

We’re really happy with our purchase and would definitely recommend it! What I like most about this TV is the picture quality. The 4K picture is incredibly crisp and detailed, and the colors are bright and vibrant without looking overly artificial. I especially notice the difference when watching 4K shows and movies—the details are really sharp, and faces and scenery look very clear. Upgraded our older LG for this Stunner

I did all kinds of research and decided on this one- we were shocked at how light the tvs have gotten in 6 years, I could lift it onto our mount by myself! Not only that, the quality is unmatched; 4k really makes a difference especially when watching movies and sports.
