Could Be Better

I've had the TV for about 2 months now and while I think the picture is crisp and accurate, I'm having a hard time appreciating it because of the continuous trails during any action scene or even when the camera pans slightly more rapidly than usual. At first I figured a few slight adjustments would eliminate the blurring/ghosting but the more I cranked up the automotion plus feature, the more evident the flaws became. I had seen 1 other review with similar issues but thought it was the exception. It's not. Here's what I did...the Monster HDMI cable I purchased also came with a THX blue ray. On that BD are some scenes from the Bourne Identity where the blurring issues are extremely noticeable. Luckily a friend of mine works at one of the big box shops that has these TV's on display. We hooked up the BD player and I asked him to watch. Initially he believed the 7 series to be on par with the higher end plama's so he was becoming frustrated with this new revelation. We then tried it on the newest Samsung, the 8 series, believing it's upgraded automotion feature would help. Nope, same thing. I did this experiment to make sure it was the TV in general and not just mine. It is. Understand going in that while the picture is rather impressive, you'll probably find yourself scaling back the automotion settings. You won't get the soap opera effect, which I don't care that much for anyway, but you'll still get a crisp, clear image as long as you customize your blur and judder settings.
The set up was easy. The features are great. The picture is very vivid, crisp, clear.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

Loving This TV

This TV has great options and is easy to use. The 3d is better then I could have hoped for and the 2dHD is incredible. Everyone who has come over to see this TV loves it.
This LED TV is very well designed. It has the best installed internet apps, crystal clear picture especially when viewing Bluray quality movies. Has built-in wi-fi, 3 usb ports, 4 HDMI ports, 15,000,000:1 contrast ratio at 240Hz. The only two flaws I found were: 1)The remote does not control other devices, like a cable box, or non-samsung DVD players. 2) The TV was not able to open and play my movies from my network storage drive, which is ultra important to me. I had to continue to use my existing Western Digital HD Plus TV Media player which plays just about every video file format . If not for these two flaws, I would have given a rating of 5 stars across the board.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: does not control other devices
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very pleased with it. Glad I went with Samsung! Keep up with your great products.
I thought that I would never have a picture like this...and the 3D feature is fantastic; I was not in the market for 3D and I cannot wait to see more regular programming in 3D coming into the market.
The UN60D7000 has a vivid display and great 3D capability. The Smart Hub feature is a great addition and very well laid out. As to the panel itself however, I am not that pleased. I just purchased this unit and got a version F301 panel. It has been posted in various forums that this version has been plagued with clouding/flashlighting issues. Mine is no exception! There are at least 5 areas around the periphery, 2 of which are very noticeable. I plan on giving this a couple of weeks to see if it improves, but if not, I plan on filing a service request with Samsung.
