Amazing Picture!

I noticed the 7000 series LED TVs a few months ago while looking at another brand at a home-theater store. Of several dozen high-end sets there wasn't anything close to the picture in the same price range.
The picture quality looks great for all viewing:
- Sports are very crisp, especially noticeable while watching fast-paced action like basketball and hockey. ESPN 3D is also pretty interesting.
- Movies look like you're watching them being filmed in front of you. Some animated films look 3D even on cable.
- Games have never looked so smooth (possibly the CMR 720?)
- With the backlighting, very vivid colors, brightest whites, pure blacks.
- Sports are very crisp, especially noticeable while watching fast-paced action like basketball and hockey. ESPN 3D is also pretty interesting.
- Movies look like you're watching them being filmed in front of you. Some animated films look 3D even on cable.
- Games have never looked so smooth (possibly the CMR 720?)

While the picture is the best thing about this television, it is loaded with any features you could want, and the app store gives you comfort that the web-based services won't become obsolete.
The Qwerty remote is also included, which will control your other Samsung products intelligently (vs selecting TV or AV Receiver on a traditional universal remote), provided they support Anynet+. Additionally, network based remotes are supported, such as Android/iOS apps.
Aesthetics come down to personal preference, but it's hard not to like the looks of this TV. The clear bezel is very thin, although there is a black ribbon inside of that framing the picture.
I compared the 7000 series and 8000 series side by side and there were no distinguishable differences in picture quality, although the 8000 series boasts a higher contrast and ClearMotion rate. This could have been tied to the settings on the settings; I spent a few hours getting the settings "just right." I do think that this set is a huge jump over the 6000 series.
Finish your research, compare brands and models, and mull the decision, but you can't go wrong with this one!

I am overwhelmed with the features on this TV!! I have enjoyed playing/learning about it as much as I have watching it. The picture, LED, is without a doubt, the best I have ever seen and my room has an extreme amount of sunlight coming in...does not affect it. I am extremely pleased with my new TV and am really glad I went with the 60 inch...it Does make a difference!!

I never thought television could be viewed in a way that I feel like I am a part of the show. That's how real the viewing is. I loving every minute I turn on the TV. We purchased the BD player along the TV and watching movies has never been so

Like the 3D and web access

Great picture, very clear and the color is sharp. The 3D aspect is amazing. Like the ease of connecting to Netflix, YouTube, Pandora and browsing the web etc. Definitely like the features this T.V. offers. The remote looks complicated, but isn't once you play with it for a bit. Enjoy the depth when watching non-3D movies and programs. A downside is the cost of the 3D glasses, it is expensive when you have to buy enough for family and a few friends.

The price is a little hefty but the performance and features outweigh the cost. With a little tweaking I have the picture right where I want it and it is fantastic. It has a Samsung Blu-ray player attached to it and the clarity is stunning. Having that paired with a 3D Blu-ray disc and 3D glasses has been entertaining as well. The web interface is loaded with content and should satisfy the pickiest of consumers. Setup proved to be easy and network config with built-in Wi-Fi was a cinch. Update your firmware to the latest version and you'll be ready to go. I strongly recommend adding this TV to the top of your shopping list if in the market for a purchase. My family and I are extremely satisfied.
Notes (Not necessarily cons)
* Don't expect amazing sound. Form factor has its limitations and this TV is no exception. I assume anyone looking at purchasing this TV is putting it in a large room, so I recommend looking at a home theater system for the range you are going to want/expect. My Samsung home theater system will be delivered by Wednesday ;-)
* You may find your picture to be too lifelike or surreal for viewing (a soap opera effect I've seen it referred to as). Don't panic. This can be adjusted through the TV's settings. Consult your manual and the support forums if you don't feel comfortable making the adjustments. You'll be watching the clearest, brightest picture you've ever seen in no time.

Amazing HDTV. 60" of cinema in my living room. Picture to die for. Can't wait to get the 3d blu ray and go bonkers with the kids watching great 3d. The whole family loves this TV and I can't say enough good things about it. Thanks Samsung!
