I was shocked at how much more high tech this phone was when the AI started answering my questions and fixing things for me and if it couldn't access to fix it it showed me what to do. Also I didn't think the camera on my s23 ultra can get any better and then I got this camera I'm really impressed with it and also all of the extra stuff you can do with the camera and the way you can clean items or people out of your shots and so much easier. It's also much faster on the 5G than my s23 it doubled my business cuz I do gig work and it depends on the quickness of receiving orders. Some of the minor things the speakers Bluetooth connection all that stuff that needed fixed on the s23 are fixed on the s26 so I would definitely recommend this phone.
ATT bloatware / other software hurts good hardware

Losing a 30 year customer over this phone. With flagship phones every upgrade. Wish I had not traded in my S23 Ultra. I initially liked this phone upgrade for the better cameras. But the improved camera hardware has been overshadowed by software issues. The most annoying is that apparently you cannot have battery optimization activated without continually being annoyed with pop-ups prompting you to turn it off in favor of the ATT Cloud backup that was never enabled in the first place. I also find it very annoying to have to go through security and enable file transfer each time I plug in USB. I understand defaulting to more secure mode the first time, but after I change it leave it that way. It appears ATT/Samsung is going the same route that put me off their main competitor. Namely, do it our way or you can't do it (at least not painfully). I also find the need to reenter passwords while using fingerprint unlock to be too frequent. It always seems to be when it's most inconvenient. At a minimum I should be able to set it to occur at a weekly date/time that is convenient. The repeat app deep sleep notification is annoying with no "don't show this again" option. I've usually liked the pens to get precision with my fat fingers, but this latest version is just too skinny. Difficult to remove and difficult to hold. And although the camera upgrade looked good by the specs, in use there's really no noticeable difference from my old S23 Ultra. The flagship phones have made the ATT premium worth it in the past. But it seems the hardware is plateauing and software is getting so intrusive that it's just not worth it any more.

Good day Donald, thanks for taking the opportunity to contact us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. Your insights provide valuable critiques that will assist us with improving our product line. To stop constant pop-ups prompting you to turn off battery optimization in favor of AT&T Cloud on your Galaxy S26 Ultra, you likely need to whitelist the AT&T app from background usage restrictions, rather than disabling overall system battery optimization. To have your Galaxy S26 Ultra default to Charging Only when plugged in (avoiding file transfer prompts), you may be able to enable Developer Options, then set the "Default USB configuration" to "Charging phone only". This should allow you to skip the security pop-up, ensuring the phone only draws power. Frequent password requests on the Galaxy S26 Ultra usually occur when the sensor fails multiple times, the phone is in a pocket (accidental touches), or due to security settings after updates. To fix this, re-register fingerprints, disable "Accidental touch protection," and delete old prints. To stop annoying Galaxy S26 Ultra app deep sleep or "unused apps" notifications, go to Settings > Battery > Background Usage Limits and toggle off "Put unused apps to sleep". Let us know if you have any questions for us or if you would like further assistance by reaching out to Support. We're here to help in any way that we can! Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra
