Made the Switch and Never Looking Back

The 5K resolution is stunning, the refresh rate is noticeably faster, and it handles video editing and gaming without skipping a beat. Switching between my computers is effortless. If you're on the fence, don't be.

Defective: horizontal line issue

A permanent, thin horizontal line has appeared across the right side of the screen. I ran a monitor check (defective pixels check), and the line remains visible on a solid background. Looks like it is a panel issue and not a cable or graphics card problem. Extremely disappointed in the quality control for a brand-new product.

Unfortunately this monitor disappoints in a couple major ways. For one, the fan spins up to 100% then the monitor shuts off due to fan failure. Secondly, the right side of the screen is noticeably more jagged than the left. For such an expensive monitor, these can't be ignored.

BEST PURCHASE EVERRRRR!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I got this LG 27" monitor for my work setup and honestly? I didn't expect to love it this much. This is actually my first ever monitor so I had no idea what to expect, but it went above and beyond. Setup was really easy like I had it out of the box and on my desk in maybe 15 minutes, no stress. The display is genuinely so clean. Colors look great, everything is sharp, and I've been staring at it for hours at a time without my eyes wanting to die, which is a win.
The size is perfect too, big enough that I can have multiple windows open at the same time without things feeling cramped, but it's not taking over my whole desk either. The build feels really solid and it honestly just looks good sitting there. Way better than whatever budget monitor I was using before.
I've noticed I actually get more done now just because the extra screen space makes everything easier to manage. So happy with my purchase! Review submitted as part of a program that provides a purchase discount.

Sharpness Inconsistency

Monitor has an issue where the sharpness of one half of the screen doesn’t match the other. Avoid until fix this issue with a new firmware.

Right side Screen Issues.

I too have the right side of the screen issue. I'm leaving a review so LG and potential buyers are aware. I hope LG takes action on this soon, If not I will be returning my monitor. I've provided a zoomed in photo of an applications splash page that shows jaggedness of the right side verses the left.

Lower Image Quality on Right Side

This display has great potential. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same issue that lg_reviewer_950b described. The image quality on the right side of the screen is degraded. The display is unable to render full 218 PPI fidelity on the right side. I've tried connecting my computer using different cables and with different settings and that does not fix the problem.. Until LG addresses this issue I cannot recommend this display. Disappointing.
