Great refrigerator, poor family hub.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fridge this thing is pretty great. I’m impressed with the quality of refrigeration and freezing. But I’m pretty disappointed with family hub+ which is why I bought it.
As a refrigerator: The finish is really nice but fingerprints and smudges appear easily. Other than that, no complaints. Little to no noise. The seal is good. Easy to open and close. Shelving is good. Temperature is good. Nice and cold. Last gripe: ice takes forever.
On family hub: clearly underspec’d. YouTube crashes frequently. Even though Bluetooth speaker is supposed to work, I’ve been unable to get it to actually play audio from my Sonos move. The AI is pretty good but every item has a picture of my hand in it. They should have put the camera somewhere smarter. Most of the included SmartThings apps are pretty junky. Hopefully things get better with future updates.

Practical doors and bright interior

Counter-Depth Without the Storage Regret

This refrigerator is seriously impressive, especially if you’re a little bit of a techie and appreciate appliances that do more than just sit there keeping the milk cold.
First, the counter-depth design works beautifully in our kitchen. It gives that clean, built-in look without sticking halfway into the room, but somehow the interior still feels surprisingly roomy. I was prepared to sacrifice storage for the sleeker profile, and so far, I don’t feel like I did.
The Beverage Center may be my favorite feature. Having filtered water tucked neatly inside keeps the exterior clean, and the entire setup just feels thoughtfully designed. Add the dual ice maker, Family Hub, AI features, and all the smart functionality, and there’s plenty here for those of us who enjoy technology perhaps a little more than necessary.
I also love the charcoal glass and stainless combination. It’s modern without looking overly futuristic, and it works perfectly with the clean look I wanted for the kitchen.
Now here’s where Samsung caused a problem.
I liked this refrigerator so much that I went back and started replacing the other appliances to match the Bespoke lineup. A new gas range and AI dishwasher will soon be joining it.
Was that the original plan?
Absolutely not.
Apparently the refrigerator initiated a full kitchen appliance restructuring.
At this price point, this is obviously an investment, so I’m not handing out five stars because the screen is pretty. For me, it’s the combination of counter-depth proportions, usable interior space, Beverage Center, smart features, and overall design that makes the price easier to justify.
Long-term reliability will ultimately determine whether Samsung keeps me this enthusiastic.
But right now?
Would I add this to cart? Absolutely—and apparently I added half the Bespoke lineup afterward. I guess I’m Team Samsung until they give me a reason not to.
