Good Wet/Dry Grooming Clippers
on November 11, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a bearded man who shaves his head I use clippers like these on a daily basis. Overall they're very good clippers. They have a wide selection of heads and combs, and have an extra wide head that's excellent for shaving my head. Also, the clipper head with no comb on it shaves very close which I love. Since they're wet and dry they're super easy to clean - no little brushes needed.
Unfortunately these clippers are designed with an angle on each end, so they won't stand up on a shelf or medicine cabinet and take up more room laid flat.
My biggest beef with these clippers is they don't have a standard charging plug. They give you a USB cord with no charger. I fully support less waste and fewer chargers, but this isn't a phone or other consumer electronic device, this is a grooming tool that lives in the bathroom. I don't want to have to take my chargers into the bathroom, and I certainly don't want to charge my clippers on my desk or the kitchen counter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Average Multi Trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned several beard trimmers over the last 30 years and this one is just average. It has more attachments and guards than I need. It's a pain to have to switch the plastic guards out for each length as I try to touch up my haircut and beard. You have to dump 18 pieces out of the storage bag to find the blade guard you're looking for. The mm length printed on the blade guards is very hard to read unless the light is just right and you know where to look. A contrasting color for the lettering would have been nice. I had an old trimmer with a dial that adjusted the length of the single guard and I really prefer that but those are hard to find now. I do like the non slip rubber grip and the ability to rinse the blades under water. It charges quickly and the indicator light helps to know when to charge and when it's fully charged.

One of the best I've owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Norelco Series 5000 is one of the best trimmers I have ever owned. I really like the different cutting heads and each size head has its own set of guides for different lengths. The heads are really easy to change. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time too. I have yet needed to recharge it. It also feels good in your hand. The only thing I didn't really like was the carrying pouch with the drawstring. It would be nice to have a carrying case that stored all of the parts in their own space rather than just tossed in a bag to jumble about, but that's just a minor personal preference. All in all this is a great trimmer.

Good value with some significant issues

The razor itself works just as advertised. I received it today, charged it, and very quickly (and painlessly) trimmed off a three-week beard so that I could shave. Here are the problems:
1. The power cord is incredibly poorly designed. It has a proprietary connector on the end that connects to the razor and USB-A on the other end (seriously?!?). The fact that this is not just a standard USB-C on both ends is just bananas.
2. The instructions are incredibly poorly written. The thing has 18 pieces with a variety of different uses and different ways to attach, detach, and clean them. I understand that writing instructions for such a thing can be complicated, but you would think that one would be able to find a "how-to" video tutorial (most of my electronics have links to such things directly on the instructions, often via a QR code).
It's definitely a good trimmer, especially for the price. The use of a proprietary cable instead of a standard USB-C and poorly written instructions keep it from being a 5-star product.

no charger and cant order online or even find info

Would give a product review if I had received a charger with the unit. Get home and find there is no charger included. Really. And the link to purchase one on the site sets off a alert with my malware protection that the site is blocked because of malware. So now I have a shaver with no way to charge it. Yes it says no adapter included so my fault. Almost like buying a car but you need to buy tires to run the car first. Very upset.
