Best Electronic Toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toothbrush from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have been using the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush for about a week and I will never go back to a manual toothbrush. This electronic toothbrush is sleek and comfortable to use. It has 4 different levels of intensity including a sensitive mode. The battery is rechargeable and lasts a very long time. I have not had to recharge it yet. It also has a sensor to alert you if you are brushing too hard. My favorite feature is the built in timer. The directions instruct the user to brush in 6 sections. The toothbrush beeps when it is time to move to the next section. After 2 minutes, the toothbrush will turn off automatically. When I am done brushing my teeth, they feel as clean as when I leave the dentists' office.
I would like to note that for people with gum disease or extremely sensitive gums, they may find the intensity too much. My husband felt that the sensitive setting was closer to the low setting on previous models he has used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Intense

I'm sure it works just fine, but these torture devices need to come with a warning on the package: not suitable for sensitive gums, cheeks, tongues, and anything inside the mouth other than teeth. I've never used an electric toothbrush before, but I found out the intense vibration is WAY more than a "tickle" as I've heard from other users. I didn't last 30 seconds before I cried out, "No more!" A good pre-purchase test to see if you can stand it would be to clip a jumper cable on your car's 12-volt battery, then rub the opposite clips around the inside of your mouth (Satire Alert: Don't actually do this.) Electric shock is pretty much what this kind of vibrating toothbrush feels like.

I wanted to love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a fairly recent convert to the electric toothbrush trend, but at the recommendation of my dentist have been using a rechargeable toothbrush for about 18 months. I’ve been curious about the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush, since it seems slightly more streamlined than my current brand, and was excited to test one after receiving it as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
First of all, the packaging of the Sonicare 6000 is definitely superior to other brands. Everything came neatly packaged and individually wrapped, which prevented cardboard dust (and honestly who knows what else) from accumulating on the toothbrush handle during shipment. The 6000 arrived with one toothbrush head and a charging base, plus a helpful instruction manual, and came fully charged! Always a nice bonus when you’re excited to try a new product for the first time.
The Sonicare 6000 is easy to use and ergonomically designed. It features various bells and whistles, like a sensitivity light that tells you when you’re pressing too hard, and several “modes” of cleaning to accommodate for sensitive teeth and gums. The toothbrush head itself is quite small in comparison to other brands, and it is surprisingly easy to reach all my back teeth! I appreciated that the toothbrush bristles are very soft and specifically designated “gentle,” as I intentionally seek out softer bristles to avoid damaging my enamel.
As far as ease of use, the toothbrush does well; the head pops on and off easily, so cleaning is quite efficient. Charging seems simple (I charge mine overnight when needed) and I haven’t had any issues with short battery life so far.
In terms of cleaning, I think the Sonicare 6000 is a step up from a manual toothbrush, but not as effective as other brands currently on the market. I personally think an oscillating brush that manually moves the bristles against your teeth and gums is going to clean plaque more effectively than a toothbrush that only vibrates—even if it also redirects water between your teeth, as the Sonicare claims to (PS: you can’t have this toothbrush on and not in your mouth—water and toothpaste will go EVERYwhere). I didn’t find that I had a particularly “clean” feel in my mouth after using the Sonicare 6000. In fact, it felt much like using a manual toothbrush to me.
I really wanted to like this product, particularly since it does such a great job of getting to hard-to-reach teeth. I think that if you’re accustomed to using a manual toothbrush, the Sonicare 6000 is going to feel like a spa trip! But if you currently or formerly use an oscillating brush, this one might be a bit of a disappointment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toothbrush is super simple and gets the job done. After sing it for a few weeks, I’ve been finding my mouth feeling extra clean. The battery lasts a long time and the construction is solid. I wish it had a couple extra brush functions, but for the price, you’re getting some great value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never been a fan of electric toothbrushes but this one is fantastic. It cleans your teeth like you’ve been to the dentist. My teeth feel glossy and shiny. The battery lasts over a week without needing charging. The brush head is small and gets every part of your mouth a normal toothbrush would miss. I received this product for free as a part of product testing. I highly recommend this small but mighty toothbrush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free as part of a product test. I've used a few Sonicare toothbrushes in the past and I really enjoy this particular model as it feels very lightweight, sleek, high quality, has a simple single button and is easy to use. I like the fact that it will warn you when you brush too hard as well as when to change areas of your mouth to brush. It has a simple USB charger as well, which I appreciate. Battery life has been great so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the product is real nice. the design allows you to brush at certain angles and not be uncomfortable doing so. also like the battery indicator on the bottom so there is no surprise mid brush when it dies
