Went from a Galaxy 3 to this Venu X1. Large bright screen and many features I appreciate. I am a cyclist with many Garmin bike products, so they play well together. I also train indoor on a Wahoo Kickr bike and the Venu X1 connects seamlessly with it. Awesome!
I bought my Venu 1X about a month ago and the main reason was the upgraded sensors that are more user friendly with my tattooed wrist than my Apple Watch which I had to return. I’m very happy with the health metrics I’ve been using with this watch, it’s opened a whole new world to get real time data. I’ll never use all the amazing features this watch provides but the ones I do use will be helpful while navigating the retirement years! Thanks Garmin! Phil J, Carlsbad CA
I purchased a new venue 3 in the past year and a half that I have since thrown away because my pulse would skyrocket (140+) on the watch while I'm cardio mode. Only going 2 mph at a zero grade, so it wasn't me. Cleaned watch back and wrist several times. Moved along wrist area to find stable measuring point with no luck. I then purchased a venue x1. Loved the colorful screen! The square screen also allowed me to easily view more data, too. Unfortunately, same unstable, high pulse measurements even after calling Garmin support for help. I just gave the watch to my daughter. As the mother of two, she might have a high pulse and be able to use it. Because I LOVE the Connect software, I just decided to try my luck a couple of weeks ago with a new Garmin Instinct 3 thinking that with a different sensor that I'd have better luck with the pulse reading. Nope. I've thrown so much money at Garmin Smart Watches only to be disappointed over and over. It's so sad that their great software has to be paired with, in my experienced opinion, hardware that is so well engineered with such bad sensors. Not sure if they took data while they did live and HALT tests, but you need to try harder, Garmin.
Honestly i love this thing the 3 star tho is my disappointment in the fact it's a venu but doesn't share the same ecg capabilities of the normal venu even tho it has everything the venu has for sensors and software like why would you do that???.. other than that it's a fantastic device I've had it long enough to come to really enjoy it but yet to discover all the features lol.
I was really hesitant to pull the trigger on this. I've been a Garmin user since the old school giant orange and gray "computer" that was strapped to my wrist. I had a 255 with music and there was nothing wrong with it, but as you know, I wanted to upgrade because, why not? I did a ton of research and used AI to compare the venu x1 to the apple Ultra 2 or 3? Anyway, I stayed loyal (the garmin app is also amazing) and chose this watch. I love it!!! I l love how slim it is, I don't even feel like I'm wearing it. I love the size and brightness of the screen, I love the watch face options, I love love love it. One thing that I do find annoying though, since the screen is a touch screen, I'll be 4 hours into a run and sweating like crazy, sometimes, the screen with change because that sweat is dripping on it etc. other than that...it's a 10/10 for everything it does. Battery life was also a deciding factor, I like how it will show you the # of days that it has left, that's very helpful.
Excellent graphics and tracking in a nice relatively thin case. Easy to use. Although I liked it, I replaced a Fenix 7 Pro Solar Sapphire due to its thick case which was difficult to wear with long sleeved shirts.
