I finally received the unit after 1 year of waiting. I have only made about 20 espresso shots, but I can tell Espresso Series 1 is a very capable machine. There is no other machine that is as capable at this price point. You can set up shot profiles with your preference. The best part is the 2min heat up time. It is ready to use in a few min after turning on.
The steam wand is awesome because it has a temp sensor and automatically stops when milk reaches 61C degree. It automatically purges water out after steaming. The quality of the wand is very good.
Every shot is consistent, and it shows you a graph (time & pressure). I don't have any complaint so far. I have used other machines made in 2000s, and I can see how technology has advanced over the years. This and Cafelat Robot are now my two favorite espresso machines.
Longevity (and after-service repair from Fellow) is another topic, and time will tell us.

Pure fun and gorgeous machine

I have had my machine a couple of weeks now and finally have dialed my espresso shots. I’m loving the manual mode and was depending on the “make a drink” options in the beginning but now I’m able to measure my output on a scale and I’m getting honey like extractions as well as the steam wand is super responsive and love the thermistor measuring and automatic cutoff.
The top of machine works well as a warmer or tool station and the water basin provides ample water for multiple shots and steaming. Not to mention the hot water spout feature is clever and also funny when it dispenses for americanos.
I love the machine and no regrets especially for my first machine. It’s consistent, quiet and fun and o play with. You definitely can’t wait to use it when you want a drink. Highly recommend.

So far, so good. We are loving our new espresso machine, every shot we pull always tastes delicious. Looks amazing with our other Fellow products and we are just happy and excited to use it every time we do. It heats super fast which is perfect unlike the one we used to have that we had to wait until it was time and by that time we didnt wanted coffee anymore.

Change can be scary

I switched from the Lalit Bianca to the series 1 and I’m really impressed by how seamlessly I was able to transition. While I loved the Bianca‘s look and adjustability on the fly. Being a Coffee geek this machine allows me to do all my geeky changes with an exact number and measurement, which allows for even more adjustability. And as good as I’ve gotten over the years at frothing milk. This machine can’t steam a bad cup of milk - no matter how I try lol. I’m Really enjoying the Series 1.

I purchased this product when it was first offered. I can't say enough good things about it. Ultimately, it pulls a great shot. As it should. The beauty of the product is that it is intuitive to use, great to look at in any environment, and most of all, it really does the job nicely. As machines 3 and 4 time the price will do, this machine hits the right temperature consistently and allows for a creamy extraction that simply tastes great! I highly recommend this product whether you are new to pulling shots or a pro.

Excellent but needs software update

I love this thing. The only issues I have with it will likely be corrected by software updates and since it’s so new I won’t fault it there. The system default to volumetric dosing would be great for beginners if it was anywhere near being accurate. It was giving me 8ml shots when it needed to be near 36ml. I understand with all the variables it could be difficult to get it right, but the default is way off and I’m surprised nobody adjusted it before shipping. As a first-time espresso-maker I gravitated towards this machine specifically for these “smart” features but was let down. I quickly switched to manual dosing with a scale and the quality improved DRASTICALLY. If they can fix the volumetric dosing it would be a huge win for beginners. I have some other nitpicks like the group head rinse being too short no matter how much I extend it in the settings (and also someone on Reddit had to tell me it even had this feature since I never saw it mentioned). Otherwise I love the machine itself. It’s gorgeous, feels good to use, and does everything it says it will. After a good software update I would easily recommend this to literally anyone.
