Beautiful Design, Incredible Espresso, and Surprisingly Easy to Use

We just added the Fellow Espresso Series 1 to our kitchen and I’m genuinely impressed.
Over the years I’ve owned several all-in-one systems from Jura, Saeco, Miele, and others. They’re convenient, but the experience and results never quite matched what you’d get from a truly great espresso setup.
The Fellow changes that completely.
What stands out most is how thoughtfully it guides you through the process. From dosing and tamping to extraction and milk drinks, the machine provides step-by-step cues that make it incredibly approachable—even if you’re new to making espresso. It somehow manages to teach you while you’re using it, and the results are consistently excellent. Lattes, cappuccinos, straight espresso—everything we’ve made so far has been fantastic.
And it’s stunning. Fellow really understands design, and this machine feels like a piece of functional art on the counter.
We also decided to split our setup instead of relying on a single all-in-one machine. Pairing the Fellow Espresso Series 1 with the Fellow Aiden coffee maker turned out to be the right call. Aiden produces some of the best pour-over style coffee I’ve had, but with the convenience of an automatic machine.
Together they cover everything: exceptional espresso drinks and excellent brewed coffee.
After years of trying high-end super-automatic machines, this setup is easily the best coffee decision we’ve made.
I originally pre-ordered this back in April 2025. Was really excited when it arrived recently. This is by far one of the best espresso machines I have seen on the market. I have owned a couple different espresso machines, but this is the first that has made cafe quality drinks at my house. Has a ton of features. Will be diving in more to learn all of the different things Espresso Series 1 can do. Great job Fellow.
Went from a Gaggia Classic to this and it's exactly what I wanted. It's like the tricked out Gaggias the DIY coffee geeks make with all the sensors and gauges and everything, but without the effort and so user friendly. It's the Mac of espresso machines. An actually noticeable improvement in quality and taste of my espresso. It was that one last step needed for my drinks to taste 3rd wave coffee shop quality. Absolutely worth it.
I have now owned this machine for just about a week. I am new to espresso and was waiting on a machine that felt like the perfect balance between being beginner friendly while also possessing the capability to deliver pathways to experimenting more and more as I continued to become more comfortable with the processes. With no real prior knowledge of espresso machine use, I was able to arrive at consistent “good” to “great” shots by day 3 (though for full transparency, I supplemented my lack of personal knowledge with a lot of internet research and also invested in a higher-end grinder). The user interface is relatively straightforward and simple to use, which I also imagine will improve even further once app functionality arrives. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who is at a similar level in their interests and experience with their espresso journey.
As a final note, an unexpected standout of this purchase has been the availability and accompanying knowledge delivered by the Fellow team, who have taken incredible steps in delivering the information needed to feel completely confident with my choice in this purchase. Thanks especially to Hailie & Nick here.
Have already used 3 pounds of beans to hit extraction timing range. Not a novice espresso machine user. 2 of us have tried. Going to have a professional barrista come try. If he can’t, it’s going back
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am giving this a 3 because I don't like how much water I waste (use 3WW), I know they are working on this. Also, the portafilter does not fit on my tamp stand. I don't want to buy another as I don't know what others they will fit on. I hope Fellow comes out with their Tamp Stand at least. 3rd and last, more detailed instructions/manual on all the particulars would have been more helpful. Though I am now starting to get use to it and learning it better. One more, a scale would have been easier than volumetric. I am having an easier time pulling shots manually using one. Oh, and maybe a new style mat on top that is easier to clean. It's not that easy in between those grooves. I will work to replace or find something to put on top that.
The good: I am getting good, constantly shots . The machine is nice anesthetically, small enough. I love the warranty options as well. Now the good:
