Beautiful

I find the quality of the Series 1 to be very high in regards to the solid construction and eye appeal as well as the programming that makes this novice barista feel comfortable. The down side has been over the last two weeks of use and experimentation I have yet to draw a shot that gets spot on approval by the machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As someone who’s new to espresso, this machine has been so wonderful at being able to teach me how to properly brew espresso and steam milk. I’m looking forward to any software updates that come, including the brew profiles. I hope there can also be options to add more drinks — like adding a cortado to the drink menu or the ability to add something custom. Overall really enjoying my experience and the features of the machine.

Great Espresso!

I was an early adopter, waited almost a year for the machine, and when it arrived I was very surprised by the ease of use, and consistency of the extractions. For me, as a beginner, the dial, and menus are great. I've made almost all the coffee's offered, along with my own version of Matcha. Every morning, for the past several weeks, I enjoy my Americano. Would recommend the Espresso Series 1 to anyone. I do have it on this slider tray thing, to make filling the water container easier, since the unit sits under a cabinet in my kitchen.

A Huge Upgrade

What an upgrade from my Breville!!! I love being able to adjust and set profiles, it really feels like being able to bring my barista experience home in a new way. The milk steaming was better than I ever expected from a home machine as well! I’ve taught my dad how to use it as well, and the whole design is very user friendly for someone getting into coffee like him. We love it!!

Bought it with a bit of apprehension as it is fellows first espresso machine. I am completely in awe with the product. It looks great (got the red) , it heats up super fast and the system is highly intuitive …. Great pressure and you can choose from a variety of beverages. The water dispenser for americanos or tea is a clever feature and super efficient. Still experimenting with some conditions but so far it is a fantastic machine. And you cannot beat the price for a tabletop individual espresso unit of this caliber. I highly recommend it.

Loving the machine so far. It’s got tons of opportunity for experimentation or none whatsoever if you choose. Certainly a good choice for a seasoned pro or a beginner- if you are new to making espresso the machine has some really smart functions to help you be successful quickly, and if you don’t need the help it’s super easy to turn off those functions. As long as you have a solid grinder, delicious coffee is very attainable. Looks great on the counter top as well.
The steam wand tip is oddly large although I’m sure there’s a reason behind it and it steams well so I’m not worried about it.
Lastly, the price is super fair for what you get. It feels very well-made and It’s an extremely capable machine especially if you like to mess around with variables and create your own recipes. Killer machine for a really fair price.

Best new part of my morning

I didn’t think twice about preordering the day it was announced. It felt like a small gamble. Now that I have it and have been using it for a month I felt like I bet on green and won. It’s as functional as it is beautiful. Being able to create my own shot profile and see the temp of my milk as I steam is such a cool feature.
My only issue is I think it purges a lot of water. But that’s being picky

The automatic features seem to work nicely. There is definitely a learning curve from grinding the beans to frothing the milk.
My bottled spring water however failed the water test. (Test strip included) Not sure where to go from here.
