Better options out there

This dishwasher was chosen as an upgrade when we had our house built. I've always trusted GE as a top tier brand plus it matched all of our other GE appliances in the house. The dishwasher is only about 2 1/2 years old. The dishwasher is quiet and cleans the dishes very well. I like the bottle washer feature and the thrid rack is priceless. The dishes dry very well. I also like the top of the door mounted controls. However, after a year of using it the door spring snapped so I replaced it. The other day I opened the door to remove the dishes and saw some metallic pieces with melted plastic laying down by the drain. It appears they came off of the tips of the spray arm. A few day later water is leaking out of the corner of the door. I paid a considerable amount of money for this dishwasher and I'm starting to regret my decision. I will again fix the issue but will always second guess myself for buying this GE appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love This Dishwasher!

And in the 2 weeks or so that we've used it, its performance has been great. We loved our old dishwasher - but the GE beats it hands down in terms of cleaning and completely drying EVERYTHING. All while being incredibly quiet.

Loving new GE dishwasher

Just installed dishwasher a couple weeks ago, after current one started leaking. So far so good. I started it today and had to walk over to see if it started, it is that quiet! Will need to replace other appliances at some point-most likely will stick with GE products.

Solid overall

Only complaint is that the standard wash settings tend to leave some residue on plates and leave some water droplets on dishes in general. We’ve had to toy around with settings and use rinse aid to nail it down. But now that we have, we get a good wash in a relatively quick amount of time.
