The phone is awesome

I like the frequent updates on the software. I appreciate the security that is provided to access the phone. Which is important! I like how if I restart the phone my messages will still come in I have to open up the phone to start

The A17 5G is a wonderful phone

It could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera is decent, but the phone itself is very glitchy. I can't have very many apps downloaded or it will run slow and even close an app that I am using. If I connect it to my car it is even slow for my car play. It's decent for calls, messages and camera usage. But other than that the phone could be better.

If your device is becoming glitchy or you're having trouble with unresponsive apps, it may be time for a little maintenance. You don't need to uninstall the app or reset your phone or tablet. Instead, you can clear the app's cache or data. This process will remove any problematic files or bugs that may be affecting the app's performance.
Additionally, you can use your phone or tablet’s Device Care features to limit background apps and help extend your battery life.
Clearing the app cache is akin to a cleansing process for your apps, as it eliminates residual files that could be slowing them down. To do this, open Settings, swipe to and tap on Apps, and then select or search for the app you want to clear. Tap on Storage, and then select Clear Cache.

Camera quality

I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5 if it'd let me but besides that I believe that the Samsung Galaxy A 17 is s good device for a cheap price.

The screen is gorgeous and super smooth, and the battery easily lasts me a full day without sweating it. Sure, it can stutter a bit if you try to open too many apps at once or play heavy games, but for everyday scrolling and taking solid photos, it's an absolute steal—especially with how long Samsung plans to support it.
