[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Omg I love my new device A17 5 g this phone is like Samsung best ever I been hanging on to my ol phone loving it but since my upgrade I feel like im king if da world this picture taken machine took me from not being able to take pictures good at all to now like a pro thanks so much for that and the AI features are like no other they are so helpful and useful I use them all the time from work projects to school work or just to chat it up just awesome every way you want it to be love love love it so much thank you again so much Samsung A17 5g greatest ever!

Too many resets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had more Samsung phones than any other brand. They are my favorite phone. Being older they are easy to use and understand. All of the different models I have had, the A17 has been very disappointing. It has had many issues with my having to reset the phone. It would get glitches and run slow and I finally got a new phone, A15 and it has been working great. Even though I have had many issues, I will still continue to buy Samsung products for my phone.

WHAT THE HECK?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone needs a performance chip processor or something to give it a boost in speed. One good thing is that you can move apps to the SD card. So I'm not sure why the phone is insisting on still running slow.

The Galaxy A17 5G is designed to enhance daily tasks and entertainment with a range of features. We understand the need for faster performance and responsiveness throughout the day. The phone is equipped with 4GB of RAM, which can be consumed quickly depending on your usage.
It's important to note that RAM and storage are not the same. RAM (Random Access Memory) helps your phone run applications smoothly and keeps processes active in the background, while storage (such as memory cards) is meant for saving photos, videos, and other digital media.
To optimize performance, the Galaxy A17 5G allocates 4GB of virtual RAM, which means that a corresponding amount of your 128GB or 256GB of internal storage is reserved for memory operations. The base model comes with 4GB of physical RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM by default.
Using the RAM Plus feature lets you extend your memory up to 8GB by using some of your phone's storage space. To activate it, go to Device Care, tap Memory, then select RAM Plus and turn the switch on. You can choose how many GB to allocate, then tap Restart to apply the new settings. This process moves inactive apps to virtual memory, freeing up more RAM for the apps you are actively using.

Overall it has been a good upgrade from my a16.

The quality of it has been great on my kayak trip down the river. I had fun with the devices overall functioning in an area I thought it would have trouble,but it handled everything I put it through.
