I chose and requested the liquid screen protector

I have dropped it facedown on the tile floor from 1.5 meters and it is still in perfect condition. (And approximately 35-40 other times from <1 meter)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My galaxy22 took a fall and needed a replacement asap so I chose the Galaxy 17 5g. One of the biggest mistakes ive made when it comes to Samsung. The Galaxy 17 crashes, lags so bad. Samsung is my choice hands down when it comes to my personal use. The Galaxy 17 is a really budget phone and it shows. If it was not so slow I think I would have given 2 stars maybe 3 just because it is Samsung. It does take fairly good photos.

Amazing budget option

I've been using this phone for a week and it's been absolutely amazing, I am glad I chose this phone as it is a great budget option. It's smooth, has 120hz display, for being a budget phone it works just like any other modern phone. I've absolutely enjoyed using this phone and hope it will last years into the future

The A17 5G is like a starter phone with Android 16

My previous phone was a Samsung A51 which bricked up on me earlier this year (2026). I owned it for several years and would still use it had it not died. It was unresponsive to booting and other legitimate, official troubleshooting steps.
Fast forward to the A17. I thoroughly enjoy the features of Android 16 and One UI 8.5 however the 2-4 gb of RAM causes me to have to restart the phone often (I regularly receive that notification from Samsung).
With a 256 gb micro SD card, I'm able to move apps with ease even if some of them operate poorly not having access to flash memory but I just toggle those apps between internal and external.
Also, I'm big on keeping gadgets tuned up, meaning I clear cache often enough, sometimes data, and uninstall/reinstall apps in settings as a tried and true troubleshooting step.
Lastly, I look forward to being chosen for a new and better phone to review for Samsung U.S.
