Fortunately, there are a few ways to free up memory, allowing more room for important files and cherished photos. By deleting unused apps, media, or downloads, you can enhance your device’s performance and create space for future data. To clear the cache for individual apps, which removes temporary data and helps apps run more smoothly, follow these steps:
**Clear an app’s cache:**
1. Open the **Settings** app.
2. Swipe to find and tap **Apps**.
3. Search for and select the app you wish to clear.
4. Tap **Storage**, then select **Clear cache**.
**Clear an app’s data:**
1. Open the **Settings** app.
2. Swipe to find and tap **Apps**.
3. Search for and select the app you wish to clear.
4. Tap **Storage**, then select **Clear data**.
5. Confirm by tapping **Delete** on the pop-up message.
