It works in a pinch especially if it's free

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is the slowest phone I've ever had from Samsung I realize it's bottom Bargain Basement usually free phone from straight talk and that's why it's free because it's the bottom of the barrel I've owned the a54 the 35 the a16 was actually an okay decent phone but this one is not I hate the experience it's really lacking and extremely slow jams up all the time crashes restarts never had these problems with my other Galaxy devices

Speed is very reasonable.

Don't like the video quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera features need to be fixed. There's not many Samsungs that have good quality night time pictures. You can't see anything even during video mode. If you try to take a picture of the moon while it is dark there's no features to the moon just a light ball. Videos Ned to have a clearer zoom when recording or picture. This is my only issue with the Samsung phones in general.

You can change shooting modes on the Galaxy A17 5G by opening the Camera app and looking for the options at the bottom of the screen. Swipe left or right to browse the available shooting modes, then tap a mode to select it. Some of the options you can choose from include:
- **Fun:** Access and use Snapchat filters on your photos.
- **Portrait:** Add and adjust background effects for photos.
- **Photo:** Take photos while the camera automatically determines the ideal settings.
- **Video:** Record videos with the camera, determining the best settings.

I have had several Galaxies and I prefer them
