I love my Samsung galaxy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that i am able to have multiple windows open and that the phone is easy to navigate. I always buy galaxy phones. I prefer Samsung over Google. Unfortunately Samsung is eliminating the texting app for their devices and forcing users to switch to Google which is unfair to the loyal customers who buy them. I hate the Google texting app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy AI is an awesome feature to have. To be honest, all phones should have an AI feature, but Samsung is by far the greatest I've used.

Phone is good for basic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone is functionable, however its missing a simple internal video card and does not connect to TV via HDMI cable. Also, im a bit concerned about what security protection it has in terms of anti-comprimisation with apps, cameras and mics. also the battery runs low very quickly compared to the A14. thanks.

Hello bestartist,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your Galaxy A17 5G. We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience with the device. While you may not be able to connect your phone to your TV using an HDMI cord, you do have the option to mirror your screen to the TV. Here’s how to set up Tap View on your phone:

**Step 1:** Open the SmartThings app on your phone and tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines).
**Step 2:** Tap the settings icon, then swipe to find “Tap view” and “Tap sound.” Turn on the switch for each option.
**Step 3:** Bring your phone closer to the TV and tap “Allow phone presence detection” when the notification appears on your screen.

It's very unlikely that your phone or tablet will be affected by malware, as all Galaxy and Play Store apps are scanned prior to downloading. However, sneaky ads or emails can attempt to download harmful software onto your device. Don’t worry, there are steps you can take to protect your Galaxy device.

Managing app permissions is a reliable way to keep your phone or tablet safe. If an app seems suspicious, don’t grant it access. When you install a new app, you'll be prompted to allow or deny specific permissions. Tap “Allow” or “Deny” based on the app's needs. If you haven't used an app for a while, its permissions will be reset automatically, and you'll need to grant permissions again when you next open the app. You can also deny permissions for an app later if necessary.

To do this, navigate to **Settings**, tap **Apps**, then select the desired app. Tap **Permissions** to view those that are currently allowed. You can then select “Don’t allow” or toggle the switch off depending on the app. Repeat this process for each individual permission.

Even on trustworthy sites, you might encounter unsafe or annoying ads. Don't fall for scams. Use the options in the Samsung Internet app to block pop-ups. To do this, navigate to the Samsung folder in your apps, tap on **Internet**, then the menu icon (three horizontal lines), and select **Ad blockers**. You’ll see a list of recommended content and ad blockers for your browser. Tap an app, then tap **Install** to add the content blocker.

Before downloading ad blockers from the Play Store, make sure you’re signed into your Google account. Please keep in mind that some ad blockers may charge for their usage. Always read the description and reviews before installing a content blocker.

Thank you for your feedback; it is always valued. We appreciate your contribution to the Samsung community!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Galaxy A17 has so many reasons to buy it blows my mind. I am very pleased with the performance while taking pictures and in all areas I would recommend 10 out of 10. Never a dull moment with Samsung Galaxy series all brands are a go and would buy any series at anytime. Definitely getting more than what you bargain for.

The Samsung Galaxy A17 is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My phone is very important to my daily life. It has plenty of features and tech specifications to meet my needs.
The large available memory space allows me to have all my necessary apps needed for my work, while still having tons of space for fun with gaming and social media apps.
The RAM capacity is great for keeping up with my busy pace of life.
The camera features are really awesome, as it helps me with having quality images to keep me connected with my social community.
I would definitely rate the Galaxy A17 as 5/5 stars, highest rating, and highly recommend it as an upgrade for a phone choice.

Good battery, but laggy and underpowered.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like the Samsung Galaxy A17 more than I did. It’s not a bad phone, but it constantly feels like it’s struggling to keep up, which makes it hard to rate higher than 3 stars.
The battery life is honestly the best part. It easily lasts a full day, sometimes longer, and that’s something Samsung usually gets right with their budget phones. The display is also decent for watching videos or scrolling social media, and One UI is simple and familiar if you already use Samsung devices.
Unfortunately, the performance really holds it back. Apps can open slowly, multitasking feels sluggish, and there are random stutters even during basic use. It’s usable, but not smooth. The cameras are also very inconsistent. In good lighting, photos look okay, but indoors or at night the quality drops fast with blurry details and dull colors.
The phone also feels pretty cheap in the hand. That’s expected at this price, but the speakers sound weak and the vibration feels hollow, which makes the overall experience less polished.
Overall, it’s a “just okay” phone. It handles basic everyday tasks, but the lag and inconsistent camera quality make it difficult to recommend strongly unless you’re on a very tight budget.
3/5 stars.

Hey there ClassicCJ,
Thank you for taking the time to review your Galaxy A17 5G. We appreciate you sharing your experiences regarding battery life and everyday performance. The A17 5G may run slower when it's processing multiple tasks simultaneously. If you have several apps open, especially a resource-intensive app like GPS or one that utilizes GPS, you might notice a slowdown.

One helpful tip is to use the quick optimization feature before engaging in any intensive activities, such as streaming, using navigation, or listening to music. This feature will close unnecessary background processes, enhancing your device's performance.

You can also adjust the camera settings for a smoother capturing experience. Please refer to the links below to learn more about optimizing your device and setting up the camera on your Galaxy A17 5G.

We continually make enhancements with each generation, and we're glad you're on this journey with us. Your feedback is always appreciated. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!
