I bought this in mind for our tile and lamenate floors. We love it and the price was right. It does the job intended, picking up dog hair, dirt, small particles. We no longer take out our upright vacum to clean our house since we do not have rugs on our floors here in AZ. I would highly recommend this product, it has plenty of vacum power. I would recommend though that Bissell ponder adding a detachable brush head, and possibly consider lining the vac with a bag to avoid dust from leaking out. It is worth the purchase. I love my little Bissell!

I have two of these and I will be getting a third one, they are so handy! We have seven little dogs, no carpeting and I vacuum my whole house with this machine every day. It is also great for quick clean ups! It goes under furniture which is a great feature. It is amazing the dirt and hair it picks up and it weighs so little. Please never stop making this great machine.

This is a very affordable handy dandy vacuum! Only for small areas thou and if you'd like to clean the car.

Thanks for your comments. I use mine on all of the hard floors in our house. It is light and has great suction at a very affordable price.

quick easy to use and light weight

i recently purchased the bissel feather weight vacuum to clean up after a child i watch, i was constantly getting my large vacuum out every day and sometime a couple times a day. this vacuum helps to make the job easier because it is light weight and picks up the mess of crumbs and dirt . very happy with it so far.

great power for such a little vac

The feather weight has a lot of suction for vaccuming apolstery. Cord is a little short. The cord wrap could be designed a little different. That is like it is on other vacs where the hook folds down.

I got acquainted with the the feather lite vacuum with a customer. I liked it well enough to make my own investment in buying my own unit. I have people with pets and if you have ever tried to sweep up the hair, cat hair first and foremost, is very hard to keep it from going everywhere so I felt it might work on floors for that purpose. I have tried the Swiffer vac as well as other battery operated vacs and found that they couldn't do the job. They ended up leaving dirt behind and I had to use a broom anyway. With the Bissell feather-lite vac if it is not picking up it is because it is full but otherwise it picks up all I need it to. I am a very satisfied with my Bissell Feather-lite vac and I have all ready purchased about 3 or 4 and with all I put them through cleaning anywhere between 8 to 12 houses a week every week and they have stood up to the rigorous tasks I put on them. I will keep buying this product because it has become a very important tool for me in my business. Thank you!

Works much better than battery powered sweepers

What a pleasure to have a sweeper with a good old fashioned cord, powerful and no fading halfway through the job, and no expensive batteries to replace. The only thing needed is a better way to release the stored cord from the unit, maybe a turn button of some kind. But the power and dependability make up for the cord!

We have taken this unit to Brasil, where we've found it very useful, as we did the first one we purchased. Easy to use, easy to store, and is used practically every day here. The first one is about 7 yrs old and except for a broken plastic part, is in use daily. For light to medium house-cleaning I don't think it be beaten! Very good product!
