The weight is deceptive. The suction as good as my Bissell Cleanview and it works like magic on our Ruggable rugs. As a pet mom with allergies, it's really important to me to be able to clean rugs thoroughly. I actually thanked my husband for finding this for me online. Don't hesitate! You will never regret buying this vacuum!
