Purchased this for my kitchen that has tiles and dining area with carpet. Just love the fast efficient job of vacuuming at the end of the day. Super light and powerful. A must have for a quick clean up!

I purchased this vacuum to clean down the carpeted steps, the basement floor - which is part laminate, part concrete - and 2 throw rugs. It works great on all these surfaces. When I vacuum down the stairs, if I want to get the crevices extra clean, I remove the floor attachment while leaving the handle in place, and it works like a car vac, but no bending over. To clean the interior of the car, I also remove the handle. It works so much better than any other car vac I have used, probably because it is electric instead of battery-operated. Another thing I love about this is the washable filter (I purchased some spare filters). The only other stick vac I have had did not have a washable one, so I had to beat it to get it clean and since I am on oxygen, not good for the respiratory system. With this vac, I empty the cup, place the dirty filter in a baggie (to transport it to the kitchen sink) and place a clean filter in the vac. I keep a screen-type strainer in the kitchen sink, so I don't have to shake the fliter. I just use a little dish soap to wash it and in a few seconds it comes out surprisingly clean, it dries fast and is ready to use again next time I need to change the filter. Mission accomplished with no dust. I love this vac.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lighter than the older model (black) I own. Came with the crevice nozzle, that was a nice surprise. The only thing is that switching the nozzle is not easy. I now use the new one with the crevice nozzle, and the older one with the regular head. Happy to have two, very handy.

Great product, great suction. Could have longer cord. Do need to empty over trash can, filter holds dirt and then the bottom holds dirt and when you take apart dirt will fall every.

Does not work. It vacuums up dust and dog hair very well, but does not deposit in the bag. The dust is all over the inside of the vacuum

Hi Carol - the dust and debris should go inside the dirt cup as there is not dust bag in this machine. Give us a call and we'd be happy to assist further. 1-800-237-7691.

A 1986 California state statute commonly referred to as California Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to notify consumers of the presence of any chemical which the state believes is toxic. One of the thousands of chemicals on the list is lead. Trace amounts of lead are used in the manufacturing process of PVC coated appliance power cords. However, these trace amounts are well below any recognized threshold level which raises concern. BISSELL Homecare, Inc., as well as approximately 100 other consumer appliance manufacturers, has agreed to include a specific warning in product literature shipped with products containing PVC coated power cords in response to California Proposition 65 requirements. The warning states; "WARNING - the cords, wires and/or cables supplied with this product contains chemicals, including lead or lead compounds, known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, wash hands after using." This, or similar language, was scheduled to appear in their product literature effective September 3, 2003. BISSELL proudly stands behinds our products and remains convinced that our products do not present any significant health risk to our consumers.

Line cord power no battery fade, effective. We find that using this unit almost eliminates the need for regular use of a bigger machine. What an exceptional machine.
