I have owned my featherweight for years and love it. I keep a drop cord attached so I have more coverage without unplugging and having to plug into another outlet. I use this constantly in between regular vacuuming. Great product!

I have a robot vac for 'dusting' and damp mopping, and one for major vacuuming, as I have cats and tile floors. I needed a lightweight vac for keeping the litter box area free of spilled dusty particles and for a quick vac without starting up the 'bots. I have no need for large heavy-duty and expensive vacuums, as I have small floor areas and no carpeting that aren't conducive for big machines. This vac is perfect for my needs and gets used on average twice a day to keep the litter particles from 'traveling' all over the house. I can also do a quick vac in closets and garage floor. It does exactly what it should for a small incidental machine.

I had read the previous review before purchasing, but I decided to get it anyway. I am not sorry. I use it daily in the kitchen and laundry area, where I have a litter box. I have even used it though out the house between the big biweekly vacuuming. I love it. I always clean my vacuums after each use anyway.

Bad Vacuum

I bought this vacuum a couple of hours ago with the intention of using it just in my room. After putting it together, I went to ask and was left fuming mad within 10 minutes. The filter must have gotten full within 2 minutes because the vacuum started spewing dust all over me and my room. I went to empty it and, because it doesn't easily open, got dust all over my clothes. The vacuum is supposed to be able to be used upright but the latch doesn't lock in so within a minute or so it falls apart and you have to stop to put it together again (then repeat every minute or so). Not only did it not pick up the debris, whatever dust it did pick up ended up on my clothes. Not worth it. I'm packing it up as we speak and taking it ro the retailer for a full refund.

I was interested in a stick vacuum because I have close spaces in my living room. The regular vacuum was too big and too heavy to lift and manage. The lightweight stick vacuum was just what I needed. I'm able to vacuum in those too close spaces and I'm able to lift it over the sofa /love seat.

I just bought this vacuum yesterday and have used it twice. It goes from vacuuming carpet to area rugs to kitchen and bathroom tiles. The vacuum is lightweight. The machine, so far, has great suction. I absolutely love the blue color. I get excited when I have to vacuum my little house!

When we pulled up all of our carpet and had the hardwood floors refinished, I needed a simple way of keeping them clean without dragging out the big vacuum that was really too big for the job. After a bit of internet research, I decided on the Bissell Featherweight, and I am so glad I did! It's easy to use, very light weight, and has good suction. My floors are spotless. Only one glitch - I didn't receive the crevice tool with the vacuum, but one phone call remedied that. I'm very happy with this simple little vacuum.
