Just pushes dirt around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a vacuum to make staying on top of chores easier. Thought a cordless vac would be convenient, and loved that this could convert to handheld. I've had a corded, bulkier Bissell for years, so my expectations were high. To be fair, the handheld function seems to be fine. The rest of the vacuum is just an elaborate charger for the handheld vacuum. It does not clean. It just pushes dirt around, and not even as well as a broom. Terribly annoying, since more of my vacuuming needs are for large areas. Wish the handheld part had a charging port so I could keep that part and toss the rest. Really, really disappointed. Please avoid this vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I love this Bissell ReadyClean XRT Cordless Stick Vacuum! This vacuum, though small, is full of power! I love the size of it too. It folds down and can fit into a small closet nice and easy. It's easy to use and has great maneuverability. It glides across the floor. I love the handle that bends to help clean those hard to reach places like under the bed and dresser. It picks up the dogs hair like a breeze. It quickly turns into a hand vac! It's like a 2 in 1 bonus! I use this for cleaning the upholstery and even inside the car! No more hassling with cords that get in the way either. It just makes vacuuming that much easier! I highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a lightweight Vac for my studio apartment. The place has a hardwood floor, with a couple of nice Persian carpets. I usually vacuum with the brush rotating. However, I stop the brush rotation when vacuuming the edges of the carpets, This feature of switching off the brush, was the major factor for me in choosing the vac, There ate very few models in the market with this feature. I am happy that I choose Bissel. It functions well and it is beautiful. The parts fit together nicely. Removing the handheld and placing it back, is simple and easy. So is the emptying of the collected dust. I LOVE IT.
