Frankly, better than I had expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, I was more impressed with this little guy than I had expected to be. At the end of the day, this vacuum cleaner is really just a handheld dustbuster with fancy attachments to turn it into an upright vacuum. Expecting it to do well on carpets and harder to clean surfaces is sorta setting it up for failure, so I expected to find that it wasn't very good at that and was only really gonna be useful for minor messes, or ones in hard to reach areas where a cordless vacuum made sense. Surprisingly, I found it did quite well wherever I took it. Yes, it may not be as thorough as a giant upright, but its so much tinier and easier to wield that I have to give it credit where it's due. So the pros: very lightweight, easy to handle, lots of attachments for most all situations, long enough battery life for small homes or even larger apartments, the ability to turn off the spinning brush is a nice bonus, and it stores very compactly. The cons: super tiny dustbin- I feel like it fills up after like 5-10 min of cleaning, no way of knowing percentage left in battery, and the charging solution seems a bit dated with a dinky little cable- but honestly this is kinda a budget vacuum so I can't blame it too much for that. Really, this vacuum is designed well for cleaning up messes when you don't want to grab the larger upright vacuum. It's not meant to do a rigorous deep clean of an entire 3 story house right before the family stays for thanksgiving, but is super handy when there is a mess or want to do some tidying and you don't wanna have to hassle with larger corded vacuums.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To say that we love this vacuum would be an understatement! It's light weight so that makes it easy to handle. The handle folds back or forward for storing and for ease of using it under low furniture etc. All the controls are right at our fingertips making the transition from using beater bar to not using it super easy. Also, power on and powering off is right there. When I use it on my area rugs it is powerful but doesn't suck them up. The power is awesome and the "stuff" that it picks up is insane. Emptying the filter box is simple and rewarding when you see how full it gets. Don't know how we lived without this. Our home feels so much cleaner now and quick cleanups are a breeze. I fold down the handle to store it under my pantry shelf. Definitely recommend this BISSELL Ready Clean Cordless Stick Vacuum.

Great Job on the floors, not so much on the stairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Battery powered stick vacuums have really grown in the vacuum space over the past few years, with some competitors doing R&D on these vacuums alone. It's good to see that Bissell is continuing to add well priced alternatives to the more expensive vacuums available in this space with the ReadyClean XRT Cordless 31921. *Please note I received this vacuum as a gift in exchange for an unbiased review. This does not affect the integrity of my review below* Design & Quality: 5 out of 5 Really sleek! The orange is a bit loud when it comes to the color of the vacuum, but that doesn't bother me much. I do like that it's fairly easy to stow with a trigger that releases the top arm to fold in half. Also the weight is concentrated in the base of the vacuum to make it easier to maneuver around the house. This lead to less fatigue in my hands and wrists as I moved around the house. Lastly, and this is a big one, THANK YOU Bissell for putting a regular power button on this! Some of your competitors make triggers and it's incredibly frustrating and sometimes painful. As for quality, this seems like it should fair decently with extended use. It is made of plastic but it seemed pretty sturdy for the most part without many small parts to worry about breaking. Features: 4 out of 5 The Readyclean XRT is quite modular in its design, with a removable hand vacuum slotted into the base of the vacuum. This makes it easy to just take it out and pick up smaller pieces around the house or use in the car when you need it. The above mentioned folding arm is nice, and the bottom does have a swivel feature which does do a good job with maneuverability. The attachments included are alright, though it seems to save on cost there are no bigger motorized tools or anything fancy like that included. Cleaning: 4 out of 5 You'll have to temper your expectations here. This isn't a top of the line competitor for the luxury stick vacuum cleaners, it's a cost-effective alternative that does the job. I was impressed with the amount of hair it picked up, and I don't have any pets! It's good for the price point, and the battery lasts quite a while. I vacuumed my main floor and basement (approximately 750 sq ft including stairs) and still had juice left over. It also does fairly well on hard floors in addition to carpets just due to the "squigy-like" plastic bar behind the brush bar. Even with the good price point it's not perfect however. I did notice that the brush bar is a bit thick around the sides, so don't expect to get super close to your baseboards with the sides of this thing. Lastly, this did not do well on carpeted stairs at all, and that's very important to me. I have 3 flights of carpeted stairs that usually need a decent powered motor to run through and this just didn't cut it. I spent probably more than twice the amount of time on these versus my go-to vacuum, as the motor and suction just couldn't keep up and would stop when pressing down too hard. Again, something to temper expectations, but stairs might not be for you with this vacuum. Conclusion: 4 out of 5 This is a nice little vacuum. It's lightweight, modular enough and does a great job for the price point. It's a monster when it comes to picking up hair which is great and does a good job on hard floors, but the slight miss on the brush bar sides and the less powerful motor on the brushes tend to knock it down a bit. If you have a largely one-story building such as an apartment with carpets and floors, you should seriously take a look. However, if you're like me and need this for stair work, you might want to look elsewhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed! I've had other stick vacuums, but this is the best one to date! It has great suction, easy to use, easy to empty and as a bonus, there is a dust buster! I've only had this a few weeks so hopefully it will hold up well under moderate use. I have other Bissel products and this one doesn't disappoint. The handle also folds in both directions make it easier to get under furniture. I would have given it 5 stars, but I dislike the plug in being near the bottom. This vacuum is well worth the money! You've done it again Bissel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Couple of times a week. Fast easy Vacuuming on Rugs and Dry Floor! Just empty the canister and keep going! Love the cordless and the removable canister. Has worked very well for me! With dogs and cats floors are important but I don't want to spend half the day vacuuming! The XRT Cordless is the answer to a lot of cleaning problems!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ReadyClean XRT Cordless 31921 has proved to be a very capable vacuum in my home. I would use it for heavy duty vacuuming jobs but for normal/common household vacuuming of dust, crumbs (which my kids contributed a lot of for this review), etc, it gets the job done with no complaints from me. It works well on both my hardwood floors and my rugs. It folds up nicely for storage and the dirt container comes off and on easily and conveniently for dumping. I like how you can detach the main part of the vacuum for use as a portable handheld vacuum along with the included attachments which comes in handy for surfaces like the couch or curtains. This vacuum allows me to conveniently and easily vacuum more frequently without having to pull out my full sized bulky corded vacuum as much as I used to. The only cons that I would give the ReadyClean XRT Cordless 31921 is that it would have been nice if it had a way of conveniently attaching the handheld mode attachments to the body of the vacuum and it also would have been nice if it had a hose attachment to extend the reach of the the vacuum in handheld mode and allow for tighter harder to reach spaces.
