I used the approved cleaner on the carpet and maybe noticed a slight improvement. It isn't super dirty but I was expecting a bigger difference. Maybe it's hard to tell with a predominantly gray hued rug.

Faulty design - can not clean machine parts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does a pretty good job cleaning carpets, but you can't clean the cleaner! The brush inevitably gets dirt and grime in it (despite immediate rinsing following manufacturer instructions). The plastic piece should be removable for cleaning. Also, heaven forbid you don't clean the dirty water tank immediately. You can forget about ever getting that clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why did I wait so long?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the very best product I have bought in a long time!! My cat occasionally gets sick on the carpet. This machine removes the stain and smell completely. It also has removed previous stains.

Leaks dirty water all over the floor

I've only needed to use it a handful of times in the 3 years I've had it and out of nowhere it started leaking dirty water all over from the bottom. By the time i was finished cleaning up the spot on the carpet, the floor was wet with dirty water and there was little to no dirty water in the designated tank. Very disappointing. I've seen similar reviews and those who were eligible for a replacement said it happened to their new one as well. Just a warning to those interested in this product.

impossible to clean hose head

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine does the job and it is easy to use. However, it is not possible to clean the hose head because it does not come apart. Even if you clean the machine right after using it and don't let it sit the little bits of dirt get stuck in places you can't reach. After reading some other reviews this sounds like it is a problem with other people. I would definitely return this product and get something easier to clean if I could.

Hi Becca. You can extend the life of your hose by suctioning warm water through the hose to clean it out before storing the machine, or use a HydroRinse tool to rinse out formula, dirt, pet hair and lingering odor. Also, rinse all tanks and tools and let them air dry after every use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried it first on my car seats, and the car smells so much better. The coffee and pup cup stains are not as bad as they were, but they're still there, so this isn't a magic fix for old stains. I'd like it to be more powerful, but then I wouldn't be able to carry it. So all in all, this little cleaner is worth getting if you're not strong enough to use a more heavy-duty one or if you don't have much storage space.
