I think this a great machine but had to keep a towel under it to soak up the cleaning solution that would leak out of it. Found the problem in the cleaning solution tank where the straw is pushed into the cap assembly. The area that the straw gets pushed into was cracked. Seems like a bad design if a rubbery straw can put enough pressure on it to crack it. Had to order a new cap assembly and seems to be ok now. We'll see how long this one lasts.
Loved mine so much I ordered one for a wedding gift.

I love my "Little Green" so much I ordered one for my Niece as a wedding gift. It has been such a life saver for me with two dogs and four cats, that I knew she will be in need of one in her new home with a cat, a dog and two new step-children.
I was amazed at what this little machine can do. We had a cola spill in our home office on a light tan carpet. This little wonder made very short work of cleaning up the mess.
I bought a LGM thinking it would be helpful for small cleaning jobs on furniture, in the car, etc. The spray/scrubbing nozzle is designed so poorly that the cleaning solution sprays side to side and is virtually impossible to direct where you want and need it. I took the machine outside to the driveway to measure the spread of the solution spray and it was 3 feet left and 3 feet right with a large gap in the middle. I gave the stupid thing away.

Sorry about your first use with the Little Green. The 3" Tough Stain tool shouldn't do that and we could have replaced the tool for you. The Deep Reach Pet tool does spray sideways as it is mean't to be brushed into the carpet and then pressing the trigger to release the formula deep into the carpet.
I used my LGM on a brand new wool rug with spectacular results....5 stars. Then I switched rugs out for the spring/summer season and used it on a synthetic fiber rug. After one use the machine smells so bad I cannot even keep it inside. Followed all the directions etc. Flushed the machine, soaked the tanks etc. and smell is awful. Considered ordering a new dirty water tank since that where the odor is mostly coming from but having a hard time paying $21 for something that may not fix the problem. 1 star.

Sorry about your issue. Unfortunately, the smell from cleaning more odorous stains are hard if not impossible to remove from a dirty water tank if it is left in the tank. We recommend running clean water through your hose by suctioning clear water through the hose from a small cup (raising the hose to make sure it all empties into the machine). We also recommend making sure you empty the dirty water tank after every use.
I love these little machines, so awesome for cleaning those spots & dog messes. However, after awhile (& one doesn't use them that often) debris can clog in the sharp turn where the hose is connected to the machine. If you take the hose off, it breaks the tubing. I had mine repaired, but now a little hose split inside that moves the cleaning solution to the wand. So I cut the end that split & put it back on, but didn't take long to slip back off...cleaning solution everywhere! Also, it is leaking where the brush applicator connects to the hose. Guess it's back to the repair shop. But I wanted to comment on the excellent customer service on this site...I've never seen anything like it. So even with all the little problems, I feel this is a necessary tool if you have pets or kids & carpets!
Lightweight, small, powerful. READ the directions. Most bad reviews I have seen before and after buying this product are the result of..(dare I say it? ) stupidity. Too much spray on the area, too little spray.. it gets on other things. Its a SPRAY....THINK about what you are doing, YOU control the spray. Use something to block where it goes if you have to. The extraction power surprised me, VERY strong. Again, think.. you may have to go over the same spot more than once to extract ALL of the moisture!!! Imagine that!!!
