Small but mighty! Over Thanksgiving, we went on vacation for a week. The neighborhood kid we hired to feed our cat accidentally closed the door to her litter box. For days, our sweet kitty had no other choice but to find another bathroom: the bedroom floor. Yikes. For the past MONTH, I've been trying to get the smell out of the room. We sprayed enzyme cleaner on the carpet and scrubbed. I rented a big commercial-grade machine from the grocery store. The room still smelled like cat pee. Then the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent me this Bissell TurboClean. Could not have come at a better time. We cleaned the carpet with it today and I was SHOCKED at how dirty the water was! This was just two weeks after I cleaned the carpet with the industrial machine! The carpet is only 2 years old and it's not a high-traffic area, so I didn't expect the water to be very dirty. After the bedroom carpet, I went to town on the years-old stains on the couch and a weird water stain on the ceiling in our van. You can see the before/after pics. I must say I'm impressed at the suction and cleaning power of this little machine. Worth the investment to have this on-hand for life's messes.

Powerful Cleaner in a Small Form

I recently had the opportunity to use the Bissell Turboclean Pet upright carpet and upholstery cleaner Model 3948. I was given this carpet cleaner to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am a young senior citizen and pet owner. I also am frequently visited by my children and my grandchildren. I was surprised by the light weight of this unit. It weighed about 14 lbs. without water. The unit has a small size and takes up a small footprint in storage. The cleaner was easy to assemble and I was off cleaning carpet within minutes. The small size was perfect of tight areas and it was very maneuverable. The first area that I tried it on was a sweet potato oops left by a grandchild on a cream-colored Berber area rug. The stain was several days old. I was impressed that, after only a few passes of the cleaner, the stain was removed. I think it would have even taken less effort on a smoother pile carpet. I next tried it on my low pile wall to wall carpet. It performed very well there also. The power brush was a large improvement over the stationary brushes on my old cleaner. The suction power was impressive and there was little moisture left behind. The clear plastic window on the nozzle allowed me to see both how much dirt was being removed and how much water was still being extracted. Even on a recently vacuumed floor I was picking up cat and human hairs. The hose and cleaning tool were easy to attach and the 7 ft. hose allowed me to reach all sections of a love seat. The cervices tool was great to get in the corners. Although the love seat did not look dirty, I was surprised how much dirt was extracted from it. The thing that I liked the most was the combination of small size and powerful suction. These features make the unit a great choice for the quick clean-ups that are commonplace with pets and/or small children. I have limited storage place and in order for me to keep appliances around they must do a good job. This cleaner is a keeper

Must have with kids

I'm a mom of 3 kids under the age of 10, which means we deal with a lot of spills of different consistencies. We have cleaned up milk, slime, bodily fluids, dark juices etc from our carpets and furniture and we haven't felt super satisfied with the ease or cleaning power. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, we were able to try the TurboClean Pet Upright Carpet Cleaner and WOW! First off, even though its a larger machine, its very easy to maneuver. Its not bulky, it moves over areas seamlessly. Second, with all the attachments it made it so easy to clean up spills on any surface. My three year old spilled chocolate milk on then carpet and couch and this machine was able to fully clean it in less than 10 mins. I also used it on my runners throughout my kitchen and it had them looking brand new. I never thought I would be a dedicated user of an upright machine, but this thing will forever be apart of our home!

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I've tested a number of Bissell floor care products and this is definitely one I'll be using regularly! It's a lightweight but heavy duty carpet cleaner that did a great job on high traffic carpets in our home. Between two teens, a dog, and lots of visitors, our carpets get pretty dirty. I was astounded by how much dirt the Turbo Clean sucked out. Bissell wins 5 stars on this one for including latches on either side of the dirty water tank which make it super easy to remove, empty, then snap in place. The water + solution tank is also super easy to fill. Bissell also does a good job of making their products easy to clean after use. One of the things I liked the most about this product was how easy it is to carry around the house. I've found other heavy duty carpet cleaners really cumbersome, but this one isn't and the result is that I've been more inclined to pull it out and use it more frequently. It's just about as easy as pulling out a vacuum. Oh...and the attachments are a plus as well and make getting into tight spots really easy. Overall, I'm really happy with this product and I'm tossing the phone number for the carpet cleaning service we use a few times a year. No need for a professional service when it's this easy to do it on your own.

I received this carpet cleaner from the Stellar Product Testing Panel but I am absolutely thrilled with this product! The design and size are spot on-it's much smaller than a standard upright cleaner, making it so much easier to handle, yet far more effective than those small handheld ones. The cleaning power is nothing short of excellent. I was amazed that it lifted an old pet stain in just one try, completely eliminating both the spot and the smell. That alone makes it worth every penny! The included tools are a fantastic bonus. I have pets and animals and this cleaner handled them all! I've never used an expensive machine like this, but it's so worth it. The quality is amazing and it makes messes easy to clean up.
