Works wonders!!

I received this carpet cleaner from Stellar Product Testing Panel to try out. I was excited about the prospect of a carpet and upholstery cleaner but I was a bit apprehensive if it would actually work. I was blown away by the results! I do not have pets but I do have a few kids (toddlers included). I have carpet in the bedrooms, couches and accent chairs, as well as fabric dining chairs. This cleaner worked on them all! In general, I prefer a smaller vacuum cleaner but I understand that this design is necessary for the water tanks. If the handle would be able to fold downward for storage, it would be the perfect compromise. The instructions were fairly straightforward, and it only took a few moments to get the machine up and running properly. For the carpets, the machine is upright with a button to release the soap and water on the handle. Passing the vacuum forward and backwards a few times removed stains pretty fast. For the furniture, the handheld piece has a similar button on the handle to release the cleaning agent. This required a little more energy to scrub the stains with the hand piece. As a con, the button was a little bit in the way of getting a good grip on the handle to scrub once the stain was soaked. Additionally, the self clean only worked one side of cleaner, but this is not a big deal for me. Overall, this cleaner worked extremely well on the stains from my kids. In the carpet, there were some icee drippings and a makeup smudge that were removed (see photos). On the accent chair, all kinds of stuff from my kids were removed. The after photo looks more blue because I used flash which I forgot to for the before photo. On the dining chairs, all kind of liquid spills were removed. I feel so much calmer about my kids making messes now that I have this cleaning tool :)

Good all in one vacuum!

I didn't realize at first that this vacuum doubled as an upholstery cleaner and that fact alone made it much better! I do own a regular vacuum and a regular upholstery cleaner for comparison. I think this vaccum cleaner stands up to a regular vaccum very well and I like that it's light weight since the addition of water to it gives some extra weight. I will say however that the attachment and hose have a bag they can be put away in but I personally prefer for all of the pieces to a vacuum be able to be "put away" on the vacuum. The upholstery cleaner part of it isn't as strong as an upholstery cleaner alone because it's an attachment part to the vacuum but I think as a space saver it's excellent. It definately does enough to get the job done. At my house in particular its up against a toddlers mess and cat mess. I use it largely to clean my couch. I have a big fluffy fuzzy sofa and it helps to clean it off and leave a fresh smell behind on a couch that otherwise can attract some gross odors ie old milk, cat vomit etc the size is very comparable to any other vacuum and is easy to manuver. I did also notice that if you press the button for the cleaning spray while the vacuum is off it still sprays so I have made a puddle in my house a couple times trying to pick it up. Although one thing I loved about this that my other upholstery cleaner doesn't have is the self cleaning tool feature. Mine you have to suck up clean water and do a whole ordeal to keep it clean. This one has a mode you switch it to to clean its own self out! I with the upholstery attachment was a little strong but everything else about it was great. I recieved this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it was a delight to test it.

Perfect for small messes

While I don't have pets, I do have six children, and they can create some big messes! I've been wanting to tackle the spit-up stains in my nursery for ages, so that's where I started with this carpet cleaner. One of my favorite things about this cleaner is its compact design-it doesn't take up much storage space. However, I wish there were a more integrated way to store the hose and attachments since they only come in a drawstring bag. The small tank size is another consideration: it's not ideal for cleaning large areas without multiple trips to empty and refill, but it's perfect for spot cleaning and quick clean-ups from kids or pets. Unlike other cleaners I've used, this one combines the water and cleaning solution in a single tank with fill lines for each. I'm not used to this setup, but it has its benefits-like letting you manually control the cleaning solution ratio if you prefer to use less. The downside is the lack of a rinse setting, which leaves a bit of solution in the carpet unless you refill the tank with clean water for a second pass. As I worked, I noticed it wasn't as loud as I expected-actually quieter than our vacuum! The cleaner maneuvered well, letting me attack stains from different angles. I was thrilled to see it got all the nursery carpet stains out! I also tried the upholstery attachments on my rocking chair. They worked pretty well, though some stains weren't fully removed after drying, even though they looked better while wet. Cleaning the tanks and the cleaner itself was a breeze. The tanks are simple in shape, making them easy to clean and dry, so I don't anticipate any mold or mildew issues. Overall, this carpet cleaner is a fantastic tool for small spills and accidents, and I love how it makes cleaning easier for me.
