I hope Bissell takes this as constructive as my view as the perfect vacuum.
Headlights are mandatory for pet hair.
As a senior citizen I need the rewind feature.
The swivel is not necessary but nice to have.
Now for the worst. We have 2 long hallways and
trying to vacuum the pet hair , the low exhaust in a closed in hallway sends most of the dog hair airborne like my Dyson Ball animal that has no head lights and exhausts near floor level. It's hard
to chase airborne dog hair. I do have a favorite vacuum for the hallways but it has to be emptied often , the Bissell 4205 is perfect for the hallways.
Perhaps Bissell will add head lights to a canister
vacuum, this will allow the exhaust to blow out
far behind operator and not blow the dog hair.
All in all every Bissell I buy is better than the last.
I guess they put more effort into research and development rather than the endless informercials.
To make everything transparent there is NO carpet in our house all tile and laminate.

Best ever new vacumm

I use it for carpeted rooms and kitchen floor. It does amazing on any floor or rug.
I'm impressed how it cleans up everything.
I love the turbo brush as it cleans pet hair off my furniture really well.
Easy to empty and clean it also.
Absolutely love this new vacuum Cleanview 4073L and the swivel head.

Malamute/Husky Rescue Tough

After much trial and error with other brands we have been exclusively using Bissell vacuums here at Mid Missouri Malamute Rescue for going on 5 years! A Clean View Pet, A Clean View swivel reach, A clean view Pet Rewind, and now the Clean view Max Tangle free rewind! Three of which are still working great!! As a Norther Breed rescue, with 20-50 dogs at any given time, many of them in our home, needless to say these vacuums get a workout!!! I find them to be light-weight, lots of suction, and very reasonably priced! Th perfect mix of quality and price! ...The fact that Bissel helps our fur covered friends is just icing on the cake!!!

Not a bad vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been aggravated when hairs, not necessarily dog hairs per se, get all tangled up in the rollers of a vacuum. I have long hair and my dog has toys that she rips apart that leave long threads, both get tangled up in other vacuums. I did enjoy this vacuum for having a tangle free brush roll. I did notice when I put it together to use for the first time that it had somewhat of a "cheap" feeling to it like it may not last long, but of course it is too soon to tell.
The swivel steering made it so easy to maneuver around furniture like tables and chairs, but I kept worrying I would swivel it "out of control" and break it at some point. All the debris my dog and our feet have brought in the house was easy to vacuum, especially on bare floors. It also did a good job on runners in hallways, but it was more difficult to use on shag carpet and did not clean that as well. There are also settings to choose higher pile or lower or no pile for bare floors. The knob is easy to turn.
The lights are bright and a huge bonus for showing dirt, I did not even have to turn the lights on in the hallways when I was cleaning! It did a great job of picking up hairs, dirt, sand, and even cereal that had spilled, so that was a plus. I really love having a cord rewind feature because one thing I hate about vacuuming is having to wrap the cord when I am finished. With this Bissell, you just tap on the button and the cord winds up for you automatically, no need to bend over and drag the cord and wrap it! The extensions made it easy to reach some spider webs we have neglected around smoke detectors and in corners, even for me at 5'4". The extension wand was also easy to release and use. I will definitely use it daily for quick cleanups, especially when I need some lighting or the wand. The suction is powerful enough even when using the extension wand and it sits on board the vacuum without falling off during use.
I found the vacuum to overall have a good design and maybe not of superior quality, but not a bad vacuum for the price-point. It does get the job done and is easy to dump out and clean for the next mess. It is also not too heavy or back breaking to maneuver.
