Does not work spectacularly on grout as other reviews claim. The product itself is well made and sturdy and the steam attachments work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have successfully steamed clothing and was happy that it did not "spit" water out on my clothing, as other clothing steamers have done before. I have used the steamer to clean the grout of my ceramic tile floor! AMAZING! So far, so good! The steamer isn't too heavy and has been easy to use so far. I would like to have more tutorials or how-to's on the website.
