Wish it worked better; at least it's chemical-free cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting a steam mop for a while now. I watched multiple online reviews and this model was very highly rated. I had very high hopes for this unit and hoped that it was worth the wait (it took 2 weeks to arrive). The unit I received appeared to be used (scratches quite apparent on the hand held unit) but during COID-19 I'm stuck at home with very little to do other than declutter and clean, so I decided to keep the unit anyway. It doesn't heat up / produce as much steam as much as I would like (or from what I have seen the unit capable achieving online). First I tackled the minor grease build up on my stove using the small scraper unit. I wasn't able to cut through the grease and ended up scrubbing it by hand the old fashioned way. Next I tackled the bathroom sink and tub/shower. Sadly again, the steam couldn't cut through build up of soap scum (not thick soap scum-as I had cleaned the bathroom the week before). That being said, it did a fine job on my tiled floor (kitchen and bath).When the weather gets warmer, I'm going to try it out on the barbeque. Fingers crossed it's going to do a good job. There are a multitude of reviewers advising not to use steam on hardwood floors while others believe that there is no reason not to use steam on hardwood floors. My hardwood is in need of being resealed so I will not be using the steamer on the my hardwood. The unit itself is light and fairly easy to handle however I may consider a cordless unit in the future. Despite the steam not blasting away at grease and soap scum as well as I would like, I do like the fact that I can use steam rather than chemicals to clean around the house.

I take my time when using it so the outcome is at it's best and the floors are cleaned well. The stand alone feature doesn't work best so I'll have to stand it up against the wall. Overall very happy with the product and glad I made the purchase.

this is extremely easy to use. It's light, has many attachments to clean virtually anything and can do the largest rooms in minutes. Took away all my floor stains with an easy 2 passes over them.

This product works well on washroom and floor surfaces. The elimination of cleaning products is a bonus. For vinyl blinds, use low steam setting, along with fluent rapid motion to avoid damage.
