Great for Deep Cleaning, but Not Ideal for Daily Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm honestly quite impressed with the Bissell CrossWave Edge! Initially, I was skeptical after trying it on my kitchen floor (tile), as it didn't do an excellent job with sticky spots or stains. However, after using it on my hardwood floors, my opinion completely shifted. I could easily feel the difference between the cleaned and uncleaned areas of my hardwood. I also used the CrossWave Edge on my area rugs. While I didn't notice a visible change, the dirty water tank clearly revealed the dirt and cat fur that had been embedded in the rugs.
Here are some pros and cons to help guide your decision:
Pros:
Excellent performance on hardwood floors and area rugs. The cleaner scent is pleasant and not overwhelming. You can use your own cleaner (as long as it doesn't foam), which is great for anyone wanting to choose a cleaner that's more eco-friendly or toxin-free. Lightweight and sleek design, making it easy to maneuver.
Cons:
Not very effective for spot treating stains. Aftercare is a bit tedious; the unit requires 24 hours to air dry before the next use. Doesn't recline well, making it difficult to clean under low furniture like beds and dressers. One thing that's important to me is using non-toxic cleaners, so I'll need to research the CrossWave Pet Pro Oxy Multi-Surface cleaner more before I can fully recommend it as a pro or con. Also, just to give you an idea of how far the cleaner goes: 3oz of solution was enough for me to clean two bedrooms (12x12 and 9x12), a porch (3x9), a 4x6 area rug, and a small hallway, which I thought was a great value.
Overall, I'm happy with the CrossWave Edge. I anticipate using it primarily for quarterly deep cleans rather than weekly maintenance, due to the time it takes for proper aftercare. But for deep cleaning, it definitely gets the job done! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wet and dry vacuum.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the CrossWave Edge through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I didn't know what to expect from this vacuum as I have never owned one before. The assembly was very easy but I found the instructions on how to use the machine - especially in terms of what it can actually be used for/how it works - a little sparse. I really liked that the vacuum provides an easier way to mop the floors, as well as an option to clean area rugs that never get more than a vacuum. However, I would say that I got more of a surface level clean than a mop or other method would provide, since there isn't really a way to scrub tough spots. That being said, I think this will be a great option for a weekly or monthly cleaning, especially with toddlers and a dog! The trial of solution that came with the box filled two tanks (not sure about a third) but that went pretty fast in my house. The tank was easy to empty and clean - definitely easier than a bucket and mop! Overall I am happy with this product and think I will use it pretty regularly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I had no idea what I was missing before I did!
Prior to this, I had to vacuum my entire first floor to get up all of the loose dirt and then had to steam mop the floors....which took about an hour when all was said and done. This machine has literally cut my cleaning time in half.
Pros: This amazing machine sucks up all of your dirt, dust, food crumbs, etc WHILE moping, which significantly decreases cleaning time. It also leaves my floors completely streak-free, unlike my steam mop. This means I'm wayyyyyy more likely to do my floors more often because it is not such a daunting task. It's also pretty quiet... I'd say very comparable my expensive stick vacuum. I also love the stand that comes with it, which makes it super easy to store. The self cleaning feature is *chefs kiss*. And, I almost forgot, you can use it on your area rugs!!
Cons: You do have to take a few parts off (very easy to do) and let them air dry after use, which means they're sitting on your counter for 24 hours each time you use the vacuum. This is not a steam cleaner, so it does a fantastic job mopping the floors but won't necessarily get up the sticky dried juice that your kid spilled 3 days ago. One other con is that you have to use a cleaning solution with it, which is an added cost as you continue to use the product.
The pros to this machine DEFINITELY outweigh the cons and I would 100% recommend this machine with hardwood floors and area rugs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this wet and dry vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Normally, I use a combination of a stick vacuum and a wet mop for my regular floor cleaning. I was excited to use the CrossWave Edge to simplify those steps in an all-in-one machine. I tested it on some grimy footprints my daughter left on our laminate flooring. After one passthrough, the footprints were gone. Then, I went to our eating area to see how it works on the crumbs left by my 3-yr-old son. It not only vacuumed the food up but mopped it too...double win! I was also super impressed by how easy it was to push and pull the vacuum and maneuver it around the house. When we got our new floors, we were told not to use a traditional mop because it would too much water. So this wet-dry vacuum is the perfect solution to get our floors clean without damaging them! You can also see how much dirt gets picked up in the dirty water tank. It's gross but soooo satisfying!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start by admitting I am a recovering clean freak. But after the birth of my son, a big dog and a baby on the way — I've had to start letting some things go when it comes to my need for a deep clean. No more compromising here: Enter the Bissell CrossWave Edge! I was very lucky to be given this wet and dry vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
PROS: This vacuum is so compact, sleek and easy to maneuver. I had no problems wheeling it from room to room. Switching from carpet to hardwood mode was a breeze (I have a 100% hardwood floor home with several area rugs) On the vacuum itself, I could tell there was really good suction as I have particularly dusty corners of my home that really didn't need the excessive vacuuming they typically do and it was a huge plus that they got mopped an sanitized all at once. Also, with my smaller handheld wet/dry vacuum, cleaning the parts after is a *chore.* To be honest, I was dreading it on this large standing model. Nope! It all came apart super easy and rinsed out and air-dried nicely. I also LOVED the self-cleaning roller feature. After I had finished doing a few rooms, my husband and I both marveled at home soft and clean the rugs felt and how we could not spot a single dog hair on the floor. Which is a big deal in our house! Seeing the gunk come out of the tank was sooooo satisfying. I LOVE seeing how much dirt and hair is ~not~ going to be where my toddler plays anymore!
CONS: The only downsides I could really spot were: 1) a corded vacuum is always going to feel like a groan to pull out and use. Not much I think could be done here as any wet/ dry vacuums I've ever seen are corded so assuming it's a suction requirement! I did find myself having to constantly pick up and put down the vacuum hopscotching over the cord which I guess I could just look at as an arm workout ;) 2) The other issue I had was although it's a small, sleek design, I think the solution tank could be a bit larger. I found that I ran out of the solution a lot quicker than I had expected but for context, I had done about 2 large area rugs and some hardwood floors so maybe that is normal? I may have just been eager to keep going throughout the house without stopping.
To put a bow on it, I really enjoy using this vacuum! It really made my whole space feel refreshed and as far as usability, the instructions and design are extremely straightforward and I loved that simple user guides are also printed directly on the project. With a little one running around, it gives this mom peace of mind that the floors and rugs he's constantly playing on have been deep-cleaned and are also now soft to the touch. Would highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I would like to thank the Stellar Product Testing Panel for this CrossWave Edge wet/dry vacuum. Second, I am in love with the ease of this vacuum! From set up, to use, to cleaning, it is so simple to use. The instructions are concise and easy to follow. I have mostly hard floors in my house and they look great after using the wet setting. They don't leave the floors soaking wet which I prefer. I was shocked at the amount of dirt it pulled up since I clean my floors very often. It has a storage stand and stores nicely. I am excited to keep using this vacuum in my weekly cleaning routine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay holy cow, this thing has blown my expectations out of the water! I THOUGHT my floor was clean after mopping with conventional means. I decided to try out the CrossWave Edge I got from the Stellar Product Test Panel, just to see if it would pick anything up. Y'all, the water was BLACK. This thing gets into every crack and sliver between planks and cleans there. Not to mention, it's extremely easy to use! The self-clean feature is big plus as well. All in all, the CrossWave is well worth it, and can really make deep cleaning floors extremely easy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CrossWave Edge is a powerful cleaner. The most impressive thing is not having to push a button to stream solution in front of you. The roller is primed for 10 seconds and off you go. The system keeps the roller wet allowing you to get up close and personal with corners not having to worry about the stream of solution hitting baseboards. The cord is longer than most which allows greater surface coverage. The roller is strong and picks up whatever is in front of it. The easy cleaning process is extremely easy and very quick. The Crosswave Edge is small and can fit in any closet or corner it is not bulky like many cleaners. Thank you Stellar for providing me with the CrossWave Edge.
We have vinyl plank floor, with wood grain, and tile throughout our house and cleaning with the CrossWave Edge was easy and the results were great. We have animals, 4, as well and as luck would have it one of the cats jumped up on counter and knocked over cup of coffee. I was already cleaning the floor, hadn't hit the kitchen yet, but thought let's see what this CrossWave Edge is made of. It easily picked up the pool of coffee and cleaned the mess as if it had not happened.
The floors looked amazing, fresh, clean no streaks and it picked up all the dirt in the grooves. They dried quick which is important to avoid slips and slides. I would recommend this product to anyone no matter the household, kids, animals, or just you, it is quick and easy to use, and you will not be disappointed.
