It (kind of) does the job, but not the machine I'll reach for regularly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this wet and dry vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I had high hopes for this vacuum. It looks great. I was impressed by the design of it and thought it looked high end. As I read through the instructions, I was a little overwhelmed by the steps needed to “care” for the machine, but it wasn't really too hard to figure out. For reference, I don't have a huge kitchen, and most of my dining room is taken up by an area rug. You have to use a solution (included in the box) mixed in with the water. I was excited to try this, as a traditional mop hasn't worked very well on my floors. I got everything set up and ready to go, and was originally impressed with how it seemed to be cleaning my floors. I have 5 kids who are homeschooled, so my floors were a good test for this machine! I got to the first ice cream drip on the floor and went over it… and then went over and over and over it. The mop could not get it off, and I ended up wiping it up myself. There were so many spots on the floor that I had to go back and wipe up myself that the brush couldn't seem to get. It also seemed that every 30 seconds- 1 minute, the vacuum would lose suction, so the water would come out, but the vacuum wouldn't suck it up, leaving my floors very soapy and wet. Turning it off and back on seemed to help for a minute or so before it would happen again. As I said before, my kitchen and dining area would be considered small by some standards, but I had to use the entire bottle of solution by the time I was done. It went through the water so quickly, so that means I would be buying an entire bottle of solution every time I wash my floors. I'm looking for something much more simple and more cost effective (meaning, I'm not constantly buying something to make the machine work as it should). All in all, if I saw it in a store I would be tempted to buy it because it looks great. It will not be the vacuum I reach for to mop my floors, though. It didn't get my floors clean and actually took me longer than normal since I was constantly turning it off and on, and then having to go back and get the spots it couldn't get.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try out the Bissell Crosswave Edge offered to me through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The wet mop vacuum combo is simply amazing. I was a little skeptical at first because the thought of washing my floor while vacuuming debris simultaneously slightly grosssed me out. I have always swept or vacuum first and then repeated the process of cleaning with a mop. This method of cleaning can be tedious but the Crosswave Edge offers a great solution by cutting my cleaning time into half by combining mopping and vacuuming in one action.
A few things I absolutely loved about the Crosswave Edge- - It's very lightweight and easy to store. - The water solution leaves the floor slightly damp and not overly wet allowing for a quick drying time. - The cleaning solution did not leave any streaks or residue after drying. - The cleaning of the vacuum after using was simple. - I like that I can use it on both my tiles and rugs. - It actually cleans well and effectively saves me time with the dual action feature.
While the Crosswave Edge is a great addition to my home I must admit that a few key features I wish was included in the design- A cordless feature as I am not a fan of having to plug in and unplug each time I move to another area of my home. Additionally, the sound of the motor is a little loud (not unbearable) but in fairness it has a strong suction. Lastly a steam feature would have been nice.
I would recommend the Crosswave Edge as overall it's practical, time saving and easy to use.
Does a great job cleaning but has to be cleaned afterwards

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try out this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel. The CorasWave Edge is light and compact for the big job it tackles. I thought my floors were cleaner with my old mopping methods but when I emptied out the dirty water container I saw exactly where my old mopping methods were lacking. There was plenty of dirt and dust left behind and the CrossWave Edge made sure to get it all up. I also appreciated that I only needed to fill the clean water container once in order to mop everything. The cleaning solution also did not leave any sticky residue behind. I truly don't think my floors have ever looked this good before. It was relatively easy to use but definitely read the instructions before hand. The only reason this product did not receive 5 stars is because of the clean up afterwards. The time I saved using the CrossWave on my floors was then redirected to me cleaning the device itself. If I did not have to dismantle everything in order to clean and rinse it out this would have easily been a 5 star product. I did appreciate the fact it has a Self Clean mode but you still have to clean out the parts after the self cleaning which is a hassle. Overall, I really love this product, and my floors have never looked better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 dogs, one of which is an 8 lb toy poodle who obviously has a smaller bladder and pees a lot of the floor. For a long time we were just mopping it up with those pads, which in my opinion doesn't clean your floors, it moves the pee around. I had legit been looking for a solution to deal with this exact scenario, when I was lucky enough to be chosen to get the Bissell Crossweave from Stellar Product Testing Panel! First of all, you can tell right away the quality, just like all the other Bissell products. It's nice, white with black trim. It has a really long cord, so you can do a pretty big room with having to unplug. It's easy to use too. You just add water with some cleaning solution, and hit a button. The vacuum sucks up the dirty stuff and uses the cleaning solution to clean all in one swoop! I've also used it with spilled cereal, worked perfect with cleaning that too. I love the cleaning tray, which makes it so easy to clean and put away as well. You just push the cleaning button and it rinses the fabric roll, pup up the lid and take out to dry. There's even a little spot to hold the roller and filter on the tray! The dirty water holder pops out easy too, just dump and rinse! Overall, I love the Bissell CrodsWeave and would totally recommend it to anyone looking to actually have clean floors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a good job of cleaning up quick messes. It's a bit heavier than I'd like for a quick grab. Was a bit sad and disappointed that it wasn't cordless, otherwise I would've given this a 5 star! I love the sponge/brush inside the vacuum, I feel like it gets everything in a couple passes. It glides very smoothly, doesn't release too much cleaner and air dries fairly quickly.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wet and dry vacuum.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and have been about to use it all over my house. My house is all hardwoods and tile with a few area rugs and this is designed to work on all of those so it is ideal for our household. I have used others in the past that were cordless and this Bissell is corded, but I actually prefer it this way because it holds power and I can do my whole house vs. having to stop every couple of rooms to recharge a battery for a long time. I like the edge technology that gets closer to the wall. It is also much easier to clean out than others, and it can be gross to clean out a wet/dry vacuum tank so I appreciate the simplicity. It was pretty much ready to go right out of the box and we used the pet cleaning solution that came with it with good success. There was no learning curve and it was very intuitive. I will continue to enjoy using this product for household cleaning made MUCH easier than having to do each step separately.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a toddler, cat, and the occasional dog the CrossWave Edge has definitely made keeping my floors cleaner than any other method I've tried. It has made maintenance cleans in between deep cleans so much easier and less cumbersome! I really enjoy how I don't have to bust out my vacuum or pick up food (thanks toddler) before mopping up messes. The CrossWave has excellent suction and can pick up just about anything and doesn't leave a film that some solutions do. Although the vacuum is not cordless, it is not an issue for me as I find cordless vacuums to lose their battery longevity over time, I also feel the suction and working power with corded home appliances to be better than their cordless counterparts. Cleaning the CrossWave is very easy and reassembly is simple and quick. Overall this has been an excellent addition to my daily cleaning maintenance and has helped keep my floors cleaner! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wet and dry vacuum.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this wet and dry vacuum cleaner from the Stellar Testing Panel. I am in my early 40s, married with a toddler and work full-time. When I am cleaning the house, I need to be as efficient as possible because I don't have a lot time or energy. I also have to be very mindful of the weight I lift due to a previous back injury. I have a relic of a vacuum cleaner that i have had for years which does pick dirt up but is clunky and hard to transition from carpet to hardwood/tile floors. And then I have to use another cleaning tool to mop. Oh, and don't get me started on trying to wash the carpets. ugh. In comes the crosswave edge wet/dry vacuum. It was surprisingly lightweight and easy to assemble. This gave me pause as I have used some lightweight vacuums in the past but have not been impressed with their ability to pick up all of the dirt. Then as I was reading the instructions I was dumbfounded. This little sleeky, sexy vacuum will pick up dirt AND wash the floors/carpet? No way. I decided to try it on all surfaces definitely thinking that it would instantly become clogged with hair, dirt and not really effectively pick up everything. I mixed up the solution in the cleaning tank and installed it into the back of the vacuum. WARNING: MAKE SURE THE CAP IS ON PROPERLY. Even though the instructions did warn about this, I thought I was good and put it in the vacuum and immediately solution started pouring down the back of the vacuum. fail. Once I fixed that issue I turned it on and let the cleaning begin. It is so easy to push around on all surfaces and I watched with both amazement and horror as the dirty water reservoir started to fill up with very, very dirty water. I felt the hardwood and carpet where I had just vacuumed expecting it to be sopping wet and it wasn't at all. Matter of fact, by the time I had finished cleaning the room, the first part was almost dry. I was so excited that in what seemed like no time at all, I had vacuumed and essentially mopped the floors/washed the carpet. Cleaning out the dirty water reservoir was a breeze. The vacuum is really compact and fits easily into my little closet. I am truly impressed with this little vacuum. When cleaning is so easy that you don't even look at your watch and essentially clean more surface area than intended because it is just SO easy, you know you have a winner. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum for people that need effective carpet/wood/tile cleaning done as efficiently as possible. Well done, crosswave edge, well done. I have a feeling my floors are going to be a lot cleaner in the future.
