I have the S6 for less than 2 weeks now. I have been having problems with the S6 not being able to receive or send regular text and multimedia messages. It is a known issue that ATT and Samsung are 'working' on. But sold the phone without informing me, the costumer. Battery life is not the best either. Other phones will have at lease 40% left at the end of the day, the S6 is around 15%. Although the phone has great processing capabilities and the camera is great. This is phone made for communication.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations
The Galaxy S6 takes everything that was great about the Alpha, its gorgeous shape, sleek profile and excellent contouring, and takes it several steps further. The result is a brilliantly realised handset that sits perfectly in your hand and pocket. The Galaxy S6 is a goldilocks handset if ever there was one, being just the right size. Handy if phablets aren’t your thing and you want a phone with the very best specs and hardware currently available.
The speed of this devise is very impressive and surprising! I absolutely love being able to go from app to app without a single hitch or flaw. The camera takes some of the most stunning photos I've ever seen a cellular devise take.
I love the design and features of this phone but the battery life is horrible. Luckily it charges quick but they better get this figured out because they will lose customers next round for Samsung Galaxy S7.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, battery life is horrible
The AMOLED screens in this generation of Samsung phones are gorgeous and arguably the best screens on the market at the current time.
The custom Touchwiz UI is toned down since prior iterations but still has performance issues when compared to the stock Android AOSP UI. The ability to apply themes is a great feature.
Battery life is acceptable and lasts a full 24 hours with 4.5 hours of screen on time at 35% brightness.
Much of the pre-installed bloatware, both Samsung and carrier specific, is not able to be removed as it is installed as system apps.
I love the phone, but the messaging app is constantly giving me problems. I wouldn't switch to a different phone just yet, but since that is the app that I use the most it's increasingly annoying. The heart rate monitor is very cool though, it's good to be able to check it easily while exercising, and monitoring my stress level is helpful.
