has power. Unit is in the garage and can see the light very easily. Has kept the
temperature consistent, adjustable shelves are a plus, and frost free is a no brainer.

Nice unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 30 year old Kenmore went out so I had to replace. I’m hoping this unit serves me as well as my old freezer did. I love the power light indicator on the bottom of the door as well as the interior light. It’s a nice slim design so it doesn’t take up a lot of room.

Outstanding mid-size Upright Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd been looking for a mid-sized upright freezer with full-size features for the longest time, and was about to give up. Seems that the upright freezer market is 99% either narrow, 10 cu. ft. and smaller, manual defrost models... or wide 18 cu. ft. and greater "deluxe" models, with hardly any offerings in the middle. I finally found this 13 Cu Ft. Frigidaire.
Based on my storage requirements and available space, I needed an upright freezer which was both medium capacity AND width.
I'd have gone with just that, but was very happy to find that this model included several features normally found only on full-sized versions, including:
- Automatic defrost
- Interior Lighting (bright white LED)
- External power-on light
- Audible high-temp alarm
- Reversible Door
- Door shelves

The thermostat is an older-fashioned rotary style (as opposed to push-button), and there is no digital temperature display, but since the use is basically "set it and forget it", as long as it works at all, you're good without that particular added tech... especially with the security of the power-on indicator and the high-temp alarm.
An added bonus is that this freezer is >exceptionally quiet<; not an issue where I have mine located, but I'm sure is an consideration in other households.
Everyone here is very satisfied with this freezer, and have no qualms at all about recommending it to anyone else looking for a mid-size/capacity upright.
