Just what we needed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a counter depth fridge/freeze in our kitchen and it's just not enough freezer room for us. A stand alone freezer is exactly what we needed and we had the perfect spot for it next to our pantry. We are using the Frigidaire 5 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Chest Freezer inside, but if we ever get a bigger refrigerator we may move it to our cellar. It's versatile and made to withstand cold/warm temperatures in a garage or basement setting. It has an external adjustable thermostat and can be used as a refrigerator or freezer. The baskets are great for grab and go items, they are also easy to move if needed. We have more than enough storage now and it's nice to have more room for meal planning.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for overflowing fridges!

This freezer was the perfect size and fits well into the space I have. The design is great, especially with a light on the cover and easy to use buttons to tell how cold it is currently.

Very cold, very cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of our kitchen limits the size of the fridge we can have which in turn limits the amount of freezer space available to us. We shop a couple of times a month and tend to use a lot of frozen food and/or food that requires freezing. We all too often end up tossing food away because we did not get around to freezing it or simply did not have space to freeze it. We had considered getting a small freezer to help us and this 5 cubic foot beauty is exactly what we needed. We now have more room then we need and no excuse to not take care and not have to let food go bad. At least around here you only find frozen turkeys in the stores at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. We obtained this too late this year, but next year there will be 2 to 4 turkeys in that freezer just waiting for us to get the urge.
It has the ability to be either a chest freezer or a small additional refrigerator. As a refrigerator it has a temperature range of (38°F to 110°F) and as a freezer (0°F to 110°F). Additional features include 3 additional storage baskets that we have found quite useful for frozen vegetable packages, frozen juice and the inevitable singles you have left over after opening a multi-pack of a frozen item. The temperature controls are on the outside and easily reached for any adjustments you may want to make. It also comes with garage ready mode. A garage ready chest freezer is built to handle extreme external temperatures such as those found in an unheated garage while maintaining an optimal internal temperature. A feature we have not tested and am OK if we never do is a power-on indicator light and a tight seal design that keeps food frozen for up to three days during power outages.
All in all we are very pleased with this freezer and wish we had bought it long ago.

Does the job and keeps food frozen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Runs super quiet. Light doesn’t do much. Good seal and better build quality vs cheap ones that dent easily. Have a quarter of a cow in there and fits just the amount needed.

Perfect for Tight Spaces

The baskets on top help you to organize and reach in is easy to access. Just the right fit for our needs. Works great, and so easy to use. You take the light for granted, but it sure comes in handy.
