[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a four year old, 16.6 cubic foot Frigidaire freezer that quit working with this unit. At first look this unit seems much smaller than the old freezer even though specs say it’s only one cubic foot smaller. On the plus side the light that shines on the floor is very easily seen if you’re anywhere near the freezer. With the old freezer you had to practically stand on your head to see if the light was on. This new unit is nice and quiet maybe even more quiet than the old one. There is also supposed to be an audible alarm if the temperature rises above a certain point. Too bad the old freezer didn’t have this as it would have saved spoiled food. Also the interior light on this new unit is extremely dim making it hard to find things. I am concerned with the longevity as the old unit quit after four years with a sealed system leak that could not be fixed.

what a disappointment

we purchased a 16 Cu. Ft upright freezer to provide cooling of various foods but low and behold we looked at the unit one day after starting the unit and found a serious ice formation on the top of the door and in the freezer compartment. Upon closer inspection for the source of the ice we found that the door seal was not sealing and could allow outside air to enter the unit thereby forming a layer of ice from the freezing of the moisture of the outside air. Quality of workmanship or faulty door seal?? only one day after starting the unit?

FRIGIDAIRE FREEZER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh, I love it! Where has it been all my life? It’s the perfect size with the perfect amount of space inside and door. I’ve always had positive results with there refrigerators and had to try the freezer. Now, I’m waiting for them to go on sale because I’ll be needing a new FRIGIDAIRE refrigerator. The FRIGIDAIRE refrigerator I’ve got, I’ve had for 23 years and still going strong but ice maker has about played out inside it but that’s all. Great Products and you have Great Prices! Thank You So Much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very poor door sealing causing a lot of ice to form inside freezer which is supposed to be "ice free". Even after repair to correct door assembly/sealing problem continued. Had to return freezer and replace by unit from different brand.

Also liked that it will keep food frozen up to two days if power is lost.

Great freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I watched this freezer for months waiting for some store, any store to have it in stock. I finally received this freezer November 6 2021. I replaced an old chest freezer I had for over 30 years it was not broken just to difficult to find anything. This upright is perfect for our need. After receiving I was prepared to let it run for 24 hours before loading. After only 2 hours a bottle of water was completely frozen I waited another 2 hours to be sure. For the first 2 days I checked it every few hours for frost buildup. NO frost. 2 weeks later still no frost. This freezer is located in my laundry room so the garage ready feature is a plus with the heat dissipation by my dryer.
Freezer has ample space and storage shelves. I will be getting bins to hold all my frozen vegetables. It has great suction. If you close the door and try to immediately reopen you have to hold the top and really pull it open. If you wait about 15 sounds it will open easier.
Tested the alarm - it comes on if door is left open for about 5 minutes, it’s very loud. Freezer has a green light at the bottom to let you know it’s working.
My freezer arrived with a few scratches on the inside but I can live with them nothing major. The outside arrived in pristine condition.
I would definitely recommend this freezer.

First one died after 24 hours
