[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The initial set up process was quick and easy, and pouring the ink into the tank was surprisingly easy compared to the hassle of replacing ink cartridges. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the prints, which were crisp and clear. The HP smart app has been a game-changer for me, allowing me to see exactly what's being scanned in the printer and save it directly to my phone. I also appreciate the app's ability to display the status of the printer. The only minor drawback I've encountered is with the paper tray, which could have been designed better to feed the paper more smoothly. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this printer to others.

Solid Printer that creates useful images.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After opening the box of my new 5100 printer, I used the helpful instructions to set the printer up. After 15 minutes, I had the printer up and running. My only hiccup was not dropping the paper in the top feed but pushing it in too far. My error caused the feed to grab too much paper. After making a frustrating error, I started fanning the paper and taking care not to push the paper too far into the top feed. So far, no more issues. With that out of the way, I love the deep, rich, and consistent colors and I’ve yet to see streaks or lines when printing large areas of solid colors. This printer creates some impressive images, and the colors appear to be very true to my laptop screen. I’ve been printing consistently and I’m excited to run the tanks dry in the next couple of months. My printing is far more intense than others and I want to see how much I can print before the tanks run dry.
Now for some of the drawbacks. The printer is a bit bulky and when the paper jams its very hard to stick large hands into the depths of the machine to man handle the paper out. The printer takes a couple of minutes to prime before it starts pushing out paper, and there is no indication of what’s going on until the first paper starts feeding. I also wish HP would charge a dollar more and provide you with two normal bottles of black ink. I state this because every new bottle comes sealed in an airtight package and there is both a twist cap and plug keeping the ink safe inside the bottle. Most of the protection from the elements is lost when you empty only half of the large bottle into a smaller tank. While I don’t feel the ink will just pour out of the bottle. I like the idea of the added protection of a airtight seal and plug that little hands cannot get into. As of now the bottle is sitting up high in my closet.
Overall, it’s a great printer and it’s a worthy investment for individuals who do not like dealing with ink subscriptions and hate the idea of shelling out money for cartridges that are just going to add to a large landfill. Kudos HP for making a solid printer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to replace my printer that was also an HP. I absolutely loved my old HP printer so I decided to replace it with another HP printer. This HP Smart Tank 5102 All-in-One Printer is a nice printer that was super easy to set up. I was already able to print wirelessly with my old printer so that wasn’t a new thing for me, but was glad I was able to still have that access. I really liked that I was able to fill the ink tanks up, it still has ink cartridges but those don’t need to be replaced often because they feed off the ink tanks. The printer is not that noisy and the print is nice. I will agree another person that the paper feeder could be better, I got two paper jams within my first use. Overall is a good printer so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a Smart Tank printer because I was honestly tired of buying and replacing ink cartridges. I figured I would give the HP Smart Tank 5102 a try. Setting up the printer and connecting wirelessly was super easy. I was surprised as to how easy it was to fill the ink tanks. As far as printing, I’m impressed with the quality as it is just as good if not better than the inkjet printers that I’m used to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is amazing and life changing. This printer has replaced my old outdated printer. This printer was an easy setup and connection to all devices. The printer makes everything a low cost and high quality output, which only one the the biggest benefit of the printer. The reliability of the print us unreal as it comes with ink that would last you over 2 years. I use the printer the print documents, presentations, photos, and much more. The clarity of the prints is amazing.

LOADS of Ink - Compact with Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this printer and had it up and running in 10 minutes. HP Smart was a little difficult with my work laptop as they blocked it initially but that was easy to handle. Loading the ink I was a little apprehensive as I could only imagine spilling ink all over the place. As it turns out they have valves and seat cleanly when loading the ink. No Spills... Crisis averted...
I did most of the setup without reading the manual. That is how easy this was. Although I did go back and read the manual.
Things I like...
Scanning is quick
Prints are clear and detailed.
Prints relatively fast.
LOADS of ink. There is about 1 years supply of ink with this.
My 3d Printed Dragon loves it...
Things that could be a bit better.
It could hold more paper.
Built in Duplexer for easy double sided printing.
A little loud when preparing to print. Clunking sounds..
Overall this is a great printer..

Smart, Hassle free and Efficient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting a printer that would be a great all in one multi use printer. I believe that this is it. Setting up the printer was pretty seamless as I used the HP Smart app which walked me through every step with great visuals to ensure there were no errors or issues. When setting up the printer it required being connected to my home network. It has both wi-fi network access and an ethernet cable connection for hard wired connections. I have to again mention that I was impressed with the efficiency and detail for this process using HP’s smart app. Loading the ink was as easy as removing the top, inserting it in the color coordinated fill tank and snapping it into place where it emptied the ink and you remove the bottle and secure the tank cap. Inserting the two included printheads was simple and direct.
Once everything was completed the print self checks that all is in place and correct. It then prints a page to ensure that printing is correctly set. What I like about the body of the printer is that the paper tray has a cover to prevent dust when there isn’t any paper in the tray. Also the pull out paper stop is compact and easy to pull out and then fold back into place. This is a big plus for me because i am clumsy and always run into my extended paper stop forgetting to slide it back into place.

There are a lot of options for setting your printer preferences, including double sided printing, anywhere printing where you can send a document to your printer over your mobile network or different wi-fi network while away from home to print and be ready when you get home. There is also a private option which uses your location to know when you’re proximity is closer to the printer before printing your private document.
The only qualm that I had was that it makes a lot of clicking noises when the print heads are aligning or repositioning before and in between printing however, once printing has completed it goes very silent. Also the user interface on the printer is simple and straightforward. There are not a lot of buttons and there is no need for more than the few there. I look forward to using this for many future projects and my daily needs.
