Turbo tax was easier to use last year. The questions were better explained. Also, the requests for my personal information to be shared with intuit were SNEAKY and the ads for the premium services were also SNEAKY.

TurboTax has been our go-to for years. Dating back to the days of 1040EZ's up til now with complex tax situations. Between itemizing deductions, charitable contributions, childcare expenses, depreciation questions, and income coming from multiple sources, the software consistently asked the right questions and explained why it needed the information, not just what to enter.
What I appreciate most is that TurboTax doesn’t assume a one-size-fits-all filer. It caught nuances that are easy to miss (caregiver rules, nonprofit-related expenses, deductions that apply even when itemizing) and flagged potential issues before they became mistakes. The explanations were clear enough that I felt informed, not panicked, which is saying something during tax season.
It’s not just data entry; it actually feels like guided decision-making. For anyone with more than a basic W-2, especially families, nonprofit leaders, or people juggling real life, TurboTax is worth it. It is compatible and user-friendly.
