Turbo Tax Online

The filing process is great. The cost is too high. I generally use the Turbo Tax Desktop and it cost about $55.00 for Federal and State forms, along with $25.00 to file state electronically for a total of $80.00. For the same forms this year, the Turbo Tax Online was $125.10 for Federal and $64 for the State, including filing for both, for a total of $189.19. That's a huge difference between the desktop and online for the exact same filing. The only reason I used the online is that Turbo Tax desktop doesn't work on Windows 10 desktop operating system. I would think the online should be cheaper if not the same as the desktop.

2025 Turbo Tax was Disappointing

I've used Turbo Tax for years and enjoyed the product. Was disappointed that this 2025 I was forced to use the "Online" version due to it only being available with Microsoft 11. In 2026 I'll be using a different method for my returns.

Very difficult using it this year with several wavy screens that was difficult to read. Also, trying to work through a home sale that I knew we were tax exempt on but could never get through it when answering the questions I knew were the correct answers but couldn't get it to finalize. So, I had to delete it to complete my taxes in time.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I moved
