Turbo Tax is helpful

I engaged with a product specialist to import my 2024 tax because I used Turbo Tax Advantage Desktop and now used online for 2025 because it was recommended after I downloaded and installed it. It was not straightforward and prior year out to be imported automatically

Not Loving Turbo Tax...Again

Turbo Tax 2024 did not save my *.2024Tax data so I was unable to import into my 2025 return. I was unable to save that data format when I went into the 2024 desktop app version without starting a new return. In previous versions, it automatically saved. This forces users to use the more expensive online version in order to save the file for import the following tax year.
The accuracy appeared to be very good, but there was no prompt to add 1099-R income that comes via pension until I used the search function. Frankly, every year that I use Turbo Tax, it takes me longer and longer to finish my returns. The e-file cost for state filing is ridiculous. Additionally, there are too many "ads" to upgrade the software that I already purchased.

Process was relatively quick and easy. It is helpful that there was guidance along the way to ensure that my questions were answered and concerns managed. I believe this year was the easiest and quickest by far.
